Impregnating Sealers

All natural stone surfaces are porous and need to be sealed to avoid unsightly stains. The best way to seal natural stone is with an impregnating sealer (also known as a penetrating sealer). It penetrates the surface of the stone via capillary action and fills up the pores of the stone. This process makes the stone impervious to penetration of dirt, water and oil.

Depending upon the type of stone, its location and usage, a choice can be made between a water repellent and a stain repellent sealer. All our sealers allow moisture vapor transmission thus allowing the stone to breathe and are resistant to UV light. The natural appearance of the stone remains unchanged after the application of the impregnating sealers.

Bottom Surface Sealer

Bottom Surface Sealer is a specially formulated solvent based deep penetrating sealer that prevents moisture from entering the stone from below after it has been laid. It may be used for interior nad exterior application

Method of Application : Surface musrt be clean and dry. Prepare a small patch to check ythe coverage . Shake the container before using. Apply to the bottom surface os a natural stone surface at least 24 hours before fixing it on the floor. To ensure deep penetration apply 2 to 3 coats. Apply each coat fully and evenly with a brush, roller, sponge or spraying device. Remove extra material with a suitable cloth. Repellency begins after a few minutes but the products is fully cured after 24 hours. Ventilation for 2-3 days is a must in food areas.

Sandstone Sealer XP

It is a premium impregnating sealer that has deep penetration and is suited to achieve water and dirt repellency on absorbent sandstones. It is also well suited for bricks, concrete and mineral based plaster. It allows moisture vapor transmission and is UV resistant. XP allows for easy removal of water, dirt etc. from treated surfaces.

Instrucrions for use:-

1. The surface must be clean, dry nad free from all layers.

2. always prepare a small test patch to determine efficacy & coverage. Natural stone is unique and color enhacement is possible.

3. Shake well before use. Avoid direct sunlight and moisture until the developement of the water repellent effect.

4. Depending on the absorbancy 2 or more coats may be necessary. Apply each coat fuuly and evenly with abrush, roller, sprayer or a fluff free cloth.

5. Remove surplus material with suitable cloth or fabric.

6. The water repellent effect begins after a few minutes and the product is fully cured after 24 hours.

7. Sufficcient ventilation (approx 2-3days) is necessary when using the product in foodareas.

Marble Star- Marble Hardener

Marble Star is a specially formulated liquid that penetrates deep into the structure of the marble nad solidifies. This process not only hardens the structure but also seals the surface. As a result of the increased hardness, the polish attained by the marble is greatly enhanced and the life if the polish is increased. Even the more poros varieties of marble can be given a mirror finish.

1. Grind the stone with the abrasives '0M', '1M',and '2M' (Oruse 60,100 and 200 grit diamond pads)

2. wash floor with SURIE POLEX Floor cleaner neutral & make sure it is completely dry. Cover adjoining fabric, plastic or parquet floor. Protect furniture from splashes. Wear gloves & rubber boots.

3. Pour Marble star into the surface and spread it evenly for ease of absorption.

4. Wait for each coat to be completely absorbed before applying the next coat.

5. For maximum effect do 5 to 6 applications. Stop applying when the stone no longer absorbs Marble Star.

6. Wait atleast 24 hours after the last coat and then use the abrasives '2L', '3' and '4'.

7. Apply 2-3 additional coats of marble star at this stage for best results.

8. Wait 24 hours and then use the abrsive '5' (Or use 3000 grit diamond pad). You may futher enhance shine by using 5000, 8000,and 12000 grit diamond pads.

9.Finish the polishing process with 5X abrasive or you use N2ZX or ZXTRA crystallizing powder.
