About Us

Sutex India is a family owned business founded by Mr. V.N. Gohel, in 1985. The Factory went in to production in 1987 with 6 power looms, today it is increased 50 plus looms. Today Sutex India produces approximately 400 tones of towels per annum. We are the pioneers in gray terry towel weaving & processing in Solapur.

We are perhaps the only unit in Solapur weaving jacquard towels as well as weaving plain gray towels & processing them.

We strive to imbibe in the minds of our workers importance of quality & cleanliness. Every single piece of towel woven in this factory for export or for home market is thoroughly inspected for all parameters before packing.

We scour yarns and gray towels in Enzymes and endeavor to use ECO - Friendly Dyes & Chemicals. Since 1991 over 90% of our production, mainly of Jacquard woven towels, were exported. Since 1996 our exports have been mostly of plain dyed/white terry towels having piles of 14 ring spun yarn.

In Solapur, only we have been producing vat black dyed towels for Australia for the last 7 years. Many of our workers are with us since inception of this factory and are quite skilled in weaving single yarns like 16s & 20s.
