The SSVR is designed to operate totally maintenance free and for continuous duty.  The static devices used are SCR i.e. Thyristors.  The system is capable of withstanding the thermal and the dynamic stresses resulting from internal and external short circuits as well as switching operations.  The topology of SSVR is based on the thyristors tap switching controlled by microcontroller.  The SSVR normally uses auto transformer with taps for regulation but on a need base auto transformer can be replaced by isolation transformer with taps on secondary winding.  Standard number of taps may vary from 4 to 7 regulation steps.  For better regulated output more steps can be used the transformer taps are switched through SCRs.  The switching mechanism of SCRs is controlled from output voltage feedback and a microcontroller based system to regulate the output voltage in desired band

The conventional torridal type stabilizers have demerits on maintenance, efficiency as well as design limitations especially in higher KVA units.  Hence, deployment of “Linear Stabilizer” is seen as the ultimate solution.  Unlike conventional torridal stabilizers, linear stabilizers employ vertical linear transformer instead the torridal Variac.  Linear stabilizer are equipped with carbon rollers on both the sides of coil.  Unlike the fixed type flat carbon brush used in torridal Variac technology, the roller brush assembly gives high reliability due to less ware and tear.  Linear technology employs heavy section of electrolytic grade rectangular copper strip instead of copper wire in order to minimize the losses and increase the efficiency of equipment.  The core is built from grain oriented silicon steel laminations which keep losses to minimum.  Linear technology is suitable for 100% continuous duty along with the overload capability for heavy starting load.

Sophisticated electronics equipment are most sensitive to line transients, spikes and notches. These Impulses are of a very short duration of the order of a microsecond to a very few milliseconds but their amplitude can range from hundreds to thousands of volts. They can be caused by lightning, mains line switching, air conditioning or switching of any heavy duty machinery. If they are not suppressed they can cause memory loss in computers or scrambled data transmission, overstressed components or even component failure.

SUVIK Ultra Isolation Transformer provides effective protection from the line transients. Primary and secondary of the transformer are wound on separate cores, multiple-shielded and fully isolated from each other and the ground to ensure extremely low interwinding capacitance. It acts as an efficient low pass filter and suppresses line transients, spikes and galvanic leakage to protect the computer system. Due to total isolation from the mains line the isolation transformer output is extremely safe to handle and is most suitable for medical applications, as well.

Suvik has designed a comprehensive power solution popularly known as AVR which is aiming at minimizing use of DG set and simultaneously offers uninterrupted power.  The PDU is low maintenance, transient free suited for communication sites operations. 

 

This PDU integrates all the essentials constituents of a site within a single telecom rack to support total automated power to the site.

 

Suvik developed Static Stabilizer employing Micro-controller based technology which gives true RMS measurements and monitoring.  This ensures the reliability as well as being static in nature has the fastest response time and hence offer a unique solution for all BTS site shelter problems. 

 

This design addresses minimum utilization of DG, normal site operation against poor and wide range of AC mains input as well as gives an advantage avoiding the SMPS damage. 

 

The integrated intelligent AMF panel which is also microcontroller based offers monitoring along with a better control for MMI.  The equipment has a built in battery charger with manual bypass facility.  This panel also gives history record for better management.

Suvik PDU feeds regulated AC Power to the air conditioners.  Controls the Diesel Generator ON/OFF as per the availability of the commercial power and the present shelter condition i.e. the shelter temperature and the BTS battery voltage.  Monitors all the site alarms and reports the same locally and to the remote locations NOC, O&M personnel and the server computer.  All parameters are user programmable in the field.
