Zinc sulfate (ZnSO4) is a colorless crystalline, water-soluble, heptahydrate chemical compound also known as White Vitrol and Zinc-melanterite (Zn,Cu,Fe)SO4•7H2O (structurally different from goslarite). In hydrated form (ZnSO4•7H2O), this is prepared by reacting zinc with aqueous sulfuric acid. Another method of preparation is by adding solid zinc to a copper (II) sulfate solution. Lower hydrates of zinc sulfate are found as minerals: Bianchite (Zn,Fe)SO4•6H2O, Boyleite (Zn,Mg)SO4•4H2O and Gunningite (Zn,Mn)SO4•H2O. Following is the chemical reaction:
Zinc sulphate is used in various application areas due to its chemical and aromatic properties, some of which are as follows:

Zinc iodide (ZnI2) is an anhydrous chemical compound made of zinc and iodine. This white chemical compound readily absorbs water from the atmosphere. It is prepared by the direct reaction of zinc and iodine in refluxing and by reacting zinc with iodine in aqueous solution:
Zinc iodide occurs in nature as a crystalline structure, where in the zinc atoms are tetrahedrally coordinated. In aqueous solution following forms of zinc iodide is formed octahedral Zn(H2O)62+, [ZnI(H2O)5]+ and tetrahedral ZnI2(H2O)2, ZnI3(H2O)− and ZnI42− |

Zinc carbonate (ZnCO3) also known as smithsonite, or zinc spar is primarily a zinc ore that occurs as a secondary mineral. This compound is found in the oxidation zones of zinc bearing ore deposits as replacement bodies, especially in carbonate rocks. Other mineral ores that occur in association with zinc carbonate are hemimorphite, Willamette, hydrozincite, cerussite, malachite, azurite, aurichalcite and anglesite. When subjected to a substitution reaction with manganese, zinc carbonate results in two limited solid solution series. The resultants are rhodochrosite, and with iron the resultant product obtained is siderite. This mineral ore is found in crystals and botryoidal masses with mohs hardness of 4.5 and specific gravity of 4.4 to 4.5. |
Clients can avail from us high quality zinc borate, which is used in diverse applications. This chemical compound is formulated in our laboratories by controlled methods. It is extensively used as a flame retardant and smoke suppressant caused by burning of textiles, plastic, papers and rubbers. This is because, this compound can replace antimony oxide as a synergistic in rubbers and plastics. Zinc borate enhances the activity of primary flame retardants by releasing radicals stepwise. Furthermore, this chemical compound is also used as an anti-fungal agent and a soil amendment for improving plant vigor. |

We offer our clients another variety of the Ylan Ylang tree, namely the Ylang Ylang AC310. This tree provides aromatic flowers, which are used for the extraction of essential oils. The oils thus extracted are extensively used in aromatherapy. The fragrance of this oil has notes of rubber and custard with hints of jasmine and neroli. We extract the essential oil through the process of steam distillation of the flowers. The oil is segregated into different grades (extra; 1; 2; 3) according to the level of distillation at which these are obtained. Some of the main components of aromatic ylang ylang oil that are responsible for its fragrance are as follows:

The oil thus extracted is used in aromatherapy and perfumery due to its brilliant fragrance. In aromatherapy, Ylang Ylang essential oils are used to treat many ailments. |
Ammonium acetate (CH3COONH4), is a white and solid chemical compound, which is derived from the reaction of ammonia and acetic acid. This chemical compound is commercially available in different grades at nominal prices. It is used to make acetic acid, acetate pH buffer solutions and DNA gel electrophoresis buffer solutions. Furthermore, it is also used to make protein precipitating reagent, also known as acetamide. Heating a small amount of ammonium acetate results in its decomposition to form acetamide and water vapor. This substance causes irritation to eyes, skin and mucous membranes. Being a salt of a weak base and a weak acid, this compound has many properties for which it has the following applications:
