Shalimax decorative waterproof cement paint is an exterior coating made in powder form with Portland Cement as its base. We offer clients a wide range of solutions for meeting the exterior waterproofing demands.

Surface Preparation

Care has to be taken & seen that all surfaces are free from dirt, dust lichen, algae, etc. Loose material and dirt needs to be removed by brushing and where necessary by washing. All surfaces in hot climatic has to be saturated with clean water & moisture needs to be allowed partially to dry off the surface before applying the first coat.

Mixing Instruction

Mix the content of the pack by shaking it before opening for the first time. Easily crushable limps if found, are to be crushed and then used. Mixing with water is to be done in two stages.

First Stage
Take 1 measure of the paint. To it and ½ measure of water and mix well, so as to achieve a smooth creamy paste like consistency.

Second Stage
Allow the paste to remain in the same consistency for a short period of time & then, again add ½ measure of water slowly, stirring well. Now the cement paint is ready for use.

The emulsion paint offered is a new type of surface coating for interiors of cement asbestos cement and hard board buildings. It dries quickly to a smooth durable finish with no brush marks and patches. It is best suitable for colour conditioning in construction of houses.

Paint surface can be washed with soap and water periodically for maintaining the look. The paint has an excellent alkali resisting property and adheres tightly to cement mortar or plaster surfaces. It hardly changes in colour and is ideal decorative coating in a light room.

Application

Depending on porosity of surface the paint can be thinned with water and applied by brush. Two coats of paint delivers good results.

Surface preparation

Surface needs to be sand prepared for making it free of grease etc., and also ensure to make it free of moisture. To prevent patches, checking efflorescence coat of plastic primer is advisable.

Application

Wet the surface well, allowing the water to run down. Then apply our Plastic Emulsion Paint with a brush of good density & smooth bristles. The first coat has to be so brushed into the surface so that a good bond is formed. The second or subsequent coats can be brushed or sprayed.

Curing

The surface on which this emulsion paint is applied should be wetted at the end of the day with a fine water spray. There has to be an interval of 6-8 hours for wetting after the application of paint.

Recommended Method of Curing

After the first coat of this emulsion paint, curing is recommended in upward direction especially when dark shades are applied, so as to avoid any watermarks. 

Note : Dark shades generally require more curing than light shades.

Surface Preparation:

• In case of previously painted surfaces ensure to remove all loose & flaking particles properly
• Then scraped off all previous coating of lime wash, colour wash or powder distemper
• Make the surface clean and dry for good effective.

 Application:

• Use a coat of cement primer (water or solvent thin-able)
• Add water slowly to the distemper paste mixing the contents thoroughly & thinning it for application consistency ( 2 parts of water should be added 3 parts of shalimax)
• On surface primer as above apply 2 to 3 coats by a brush roller or spray
• Keep 6-8 hours interval between coats.

The suited economical treatment of interior walls and ceilings this dry-distemper imparts solid decorative finish various interiors.

Mixing Instruction

Add to moderate hot water, gradually by stirring constantly until a stiff paste is formed. Allow the pate to stand for 30 minutes and then thin it to the required consistency by adding water.

Surface Preparation

The surface has to be sand papered down and defects like cracks holes etc. should be filled with plaster & smoothened. Let the surface dry off before the surface is washed clean & free from dust and grease.

Application

The distemper is applied evenly with a good brush. Ensure to stir the distemper from time to time during application. For very absorbent surface a coat of glue size is recommended.

Drying Time: Approximately 6 hr.

Covering Capacity: 9 to 12 sq. meters per Kg. depending on surface.

This colour takes the drabs out of plain grey and white cement and transforms dull concrete into fascinating coating. Fast to light and alkalies, the colours it delivers are widely used by tile and distemper manufacturers and situ workers.

Application

Mix thoroughly with dry cement and pass it through a fine sieve. Then add water and aggregates in proportion according to intensity of colour needed. For example if you need pastel shades, 5 kg. of per bag of cement is recommended.

During the preparation of concrete right composition small capillary pores are formed in the process of adding water to achieve the required workability and compactness.
