About Us

Swadeshi Button Store was founded by Late Shri Sudhir Kumar Paul in the year 1938 as a retail business in Delhi and today it¿s become a family business. Now it¿s the third generation of Late Shri Sudhir Kumar Paul who are running the company. The registered office of Swadeshi button Store is now located at 5508, Gandhi Market, Sadar Bazar, Delhi.Swadeshi button started it¿s operation with selling of Shell button which were mostly came form Dhaka, now the capital of Bangladesh. These were the only button media available at that time as Urea or Polyester buttons were not invented. Keeping the mission statement of providing the highest quality buttons at the best possible price in the year 1955 Swadeshi Button started their own Shell button manufacturing unit in a small town of Bihar. The button used to come dressed on strong paper tucked in a box. In the meantime Shri Jamuna Prasad Paul son of Late Shri Sudhir Paul also joined Swadeshi Button. Having seen a great potential, in the year 1980 Swadeshi started marketing melamine buttons under a joint venture scheme. Later in the year 1992 polyester button manufacturing unit was added under the umbrella of Swadeshi button with the know-how of Italian companies Giusi & Bonetti and the plant is currently located at Bawana, Sector 5, Delhi by the name ¿Mina Trims¿.
