Bagacillo Separator

Bagacillo Separator
The presence of bagacillo in mixed juice darkens the juice color and consumes more steam and chemicals during processing and also leads to poor quality sugar. Use of hydrocyclones to remove bagacillo has proved to remove 100% grit and 50% to 70% fine bagacillo which generally escapes from the dsm / rotary screen. This system successfully separates grit and bagacillo approximately amounting to 5000 kgs for a typical 2500 tcd plant. This bagacillo is added on to the bagasse blanket everyday which otherwise is being removed by the rotary filter after going through complete boiling and clarification process.

this simple unit which is manufactured in stainless steel can be conveniently installed at the mill house / boiling house / weighing scale.

the unit has almost nil maintenance due to the absence of moving parts.

mixed juice to the first stage cyclones enters through an inlet header to the battery of cyclones.

the muddy juice containing grit and cush-cush is taken out from the underflow of cyclones in stages. It is then finally sent back to the mill for further extraction.

the clear juice from the top of all the cyclones is collected in a common juice trough and sent to the boiling house.

Energy Saving System For Cooling Towers
Cooling towers are one of the most common equipment in all industries. Generally cooling tower fans are designed for maximum process load and the worst ambient conditions. These two conditions may not occur all the time. Generally, majority of the time either process load may be less or the ambient conditions may be favourable. Under these conditions, an excess capacity of the fan is available. A control system which optimizes the capacity of cooling tower fans or minimizes the operating hours of the cooling tower fan gives substantial energy savings.

Our Energy Saving System for Cooling Towers provides a temperature control by continuously sensing the cold well temperature. Based on the signal from the sensor, the controller increases / decreases the speed of the cooling tower fans. The fans run at low speed during night time & also at lower process loads. This reduces the power consumption of cooling tower fans by 50%.

The advantages of our system are:

  • Reduction in power consumption of the cooling tower fan
  • Control & maintenance of constant temperature of cooling water
  • Achievement of maximum energy savings

The power drawn by the motor can be recorded by using an energy meter and hence the Power Saved can be quantitatively assessed & Proved.

Juice Flow Controller
The Mixed Juice Flow Stabilization Controller has been designed using the state-of-the-art technology which employs new generation electronic products to give a complete solution to regulate and stabilize mix juice flow into the down stream process. The advantages of the system are savings in usage of lime, sulphur and other costly chemicals during juice processing.

The Juice Flow Controller incorporates:

  1. A volumetric magnetic flow meter to monitor mix juice flow and give feedback to system.
  2. New generation microprocessor based Electronic motor pump speed controller system with built in PID Control to run system as per set point.
  3. Operator Control panel to see display and to set the set point as required by the process, both local and remote.

The system is not only very accurate but also very energy efficient.

This latest system gives a constant flow and it is estimated that even a 0.2% improvement in recovery in a medium sized plant on this account will yield additional production of sugar. In addition, we can save the energy consumed by the motor to the tune of 25% to 30% by avoiding bypass valves.

Our Export Quality Hydrocyclones are made using 6 mm thick stainless steel to successfully remove cent per cent grit and provides Milk Of Lime (MOL) in complete colloidal form. The concentrated grit slurry can be diverted to a spray pond for pH control, which is an added advantage of the system.

The unit is guaranteed for trouble-free and smooth performance for a minimum of 3 seasons. There are no moving parts and all its internals are made of superior quality, high abrasion, nickel chrome steel which are precision machined for efficient working ensuring almost zero maintenance. Similar units have been supplied by us to a number of sugar factories in India, all giving excellent results.

Our continuous development has resulted in an improved design which incorporates nickel chrome body, flexible apex nozzle, body buffed to mirror polish and improved metallurgical aspects. We use stainless steel in 6 mm thickness along with a heavy section of high abraison-resistance steel to minimize wear & tear and achieve trouble-free performance for a minimum of 3 seasons with zero maintenance costs during the crushing season.

The improved version ensures 100% removal of fine grit / silica sand upto even 3 microns to obtain MOL in complete colloidal form.

Scrubbers For Gas Cleaning And Reclamation
Scrubbers are widely used in process and allied industries to reduce concentration of exit gases or remove particulate matter from gas streams using water or slurry as the scrubbing medium. Sweetech Engineers have installed ammonia recovery systems in fertilizer plants to recover ammonia from fume scrubber exhaust, dust scrubber, dryer scrubber and fumes & dryer tail gas scrubber.

Salient Features Of Our Scrubbers
  1. The scrubber operates on the principle of creating a large surface area of contact between gas and liquid streams, thereby absorbing from the gas stream by various mechanisms like impaction, interception, diffusion, condensation and agglomeration.
  2. Only high-precision spray nozzles are used for maximizing the contact between gas and liquid.
  3. Mist eliminators are provided to prevent carry over losses of scrubbing liquor.
  4. Can be operated with variable flow conditions.
