End Use/ Applications
Inorganic fluorine based chemicals manufactured by Tanfac have vital applications in industries as varied as aluminium smelting, petroleum refining, refrigerant gases, steel re-rolling, glass, ceramics, sugar, fertilizers, heavy water etc.
Organic fluoro chemicals are used as intermediates in the manufacture of pharmachemicals and agrochemicals.
Focuses on variety of specility fluorides which are developed and manufactured depending on specific requirement of customers.

Our Milestones
TANFAC, which began operations in March 1985 was initially involved in the production of Anhydrous Hydrofluoric Acid, Aluminium Fluoride and Sulphuric Acid. Currently diversifying into wide range of Organic Fluorine chemicals.
Subsequently, it achieved several milestones. These include:
1972 Tanfac Industries Ltd. incorporated.
1985 Began its operation with the production of Hydrofluoric Acid, Aluminium Fluoride and Sulphuric Acid.
1989 Commissioning of AHF liquification plant.
Commencement of Specialty Fluoride plant with various Inorganic Fluorine chemicals.
1992 Commencement of Sulphuric Acid Unit II in December.
1997 Capacity of Aluminium Fluoride and Hydrofluoric Acid increased.
2001 Commissioning of Organic Fluorine chemical plant.
2003 New R&D is setup for developing Specialty Organic and Inorganic Fluorides.
Commissioning of additional production facility for Specialty Inorganic Fluorides.
Commissioning of production facility for Fluorine based phase transfer catalyst.
