| | Ball Mills - Continuous/ Batch We offer a wide range of Ball Mills that are recognized as highly versatile grinding equipment. These are used for purposes such as, powder grinding and wet grinding of various material. Catering to the needs of pigments, paints and minerals industries, our range is best known for excellent performance and easy operability. The Ball Mills manufactured by us are highly acknowledged for its assembly, wherein the shaft run outs for mills of 20000 liters capacity is less than 200 microns. The support bases are fabricated from plate sections; and the top plate where the bearings rest are planed to give a perfect seating. | | Sand Mills (Horizontal/Vertical) Our range of Sand Mills is offered to our clients in two models that includes Horizontal and Vertical Mills. These are manufactured using high grade material such as C.S, SS 304, SS 316 and are offered in capacities from 3 liters to 125 liters. The Sand Mills offered by us finds application in dyes, pigments, agrochemicals, polymers, paints, pharmaceutical products and specialty chemicals. Usage: - Grinding of material

Principle:The energy required for grinding is given by rotating the sands by means of discs fixed on the agitator. The grinding sands transfer the energy to the material, where high shear and high peripheral velocities reduce the particle size of the material to be ground. Construction: It consists of a Horizontal/Vertical Cylindrical jacketed shell with a central shaft on which a number of discs are fixed. The shell is provided with a cooling jacket and the shaft end is sealed by double product/service mechanical seal. The feed pump and the electric panel is mounted on the main machine with all the required instrumentation and controls. The grinding sands are separated from the material by means of a gap separator or by a wedge screen. |
 
| | Rotary Vacuum Dryers The Rotary Vacuum Dryers offered by us are a clean, simple and effective way to dry wet cakes, wet powders and slurries. These are used where either a solvent is to be recovered or the drying is to be carried out at relatively low temperatures for heat sensitive material. We manufacture our range using high grade material that includes C.S, SS 304 and SS 316. Available in different capacities, ranging from 50 liters to 16000 liters, these find application in industries related to dyes, pigments, agrochemicals, polymers, metal powders, herbal products, pharmaceuticals, food products and speciality chemicals. Construction:It contains a hollow shaft with specially designed hollow arms, which are heated by steam, hot water or thermic fluid; rotating in a centrally jacketed shell. The entire shell area is effectively covered by the specially designed scrapper arms. This scrapes the entire internal surface of the dryer, continuously moving, while the material remains in contact with hot surfaces for protracted periods of time. This helps in the reduction of the drying time, hence offering enhanced efficiency. Operation:After starting agitation, the feed is charged and vacuum is applied in RVD, dust catcher, condenser and receiver. Then the heating of the mass causes the vapors to evaporate, which is subsequently condensed and collected in the receiver. The recovery of the solvent is maximum, while the drying time is minimal. This is due to the higher heat transfer, vacuum and intensive mixing. Optional features: - Breaker bar (for minimizing lump formation for particle size reduction)

| | Stainless Steel Plough Blender/ Reactor We manufacture a precision engineered range of Plough Blender-Reactor that is manufactured using high grade stainless steel. These are used for solid, liquid, blending and reacting purposes for various kinds of industrial reactions. Construction:It contains specially fabricated plough arms fixed on a rotating shaft with a stationary shell. The shell is jacketed and can be heated or cooled by steam, thermic fluid and hot water. Cooling can be done using water, chilled water or brine solution. This is fixed with high shear choppers which enhances blending and also reduces the particle size. Operation:The blenders are equipped with mixing elements; which can be adapted to individual requirement. The blending produced is of the high quality. The shovels rotate as mixing elements in a special arrangement on the shaft in a horizontal cylindrical drum. The size, number and positioning, geometric shape and peripheral speed of the mixing elements are coordinated in such a way that they produce a three dimensional movement. This three-dimensional movement eliminates the possibilities of damaging the structure of particles to be blended. The three-dimensional movement also prevents formations of dead spots or low movement zones. The agitator configuration depends on material density, flow ability, blending time and abrasiveness. | | High Speed Dissolvers We offer a truly efficient range of High Speed Dissolvers that are manufactured using high grade raw material. These cater to the requirements of various industries and are highly appreciated for their sturdy construction and optimum performance.
Technical Specifications:
The blade offered in the dissolvers is generally saw-tooth cutting. The high-speed impeller mill consists of high-speed shaft, serrated impeller and mill container. Dispersion is effected by the attrition of pigment agglomerates under the viscous forces induce in the paste by the high-speed impeller. The machine can be lowered or lifted by hydraulic or pneumatic arrangements. The motors available are TEFC or explosion proof. The speed variator can be mechanical or electronic invertor. |

| | Sigma Mixer ( Kneader ) Techno Designs offers Sigma Mixers for mixing and kneading applications. Sigma Mixers is used for manufacturing Pigments, Pigment Emulsions, Detergent Cakes, Printing Inks and various other products.
CONSTRUCTION
It consists of twin tub with side covers. The trough and side covers are jacketed for heating and cooling. The blades are specially designed mixing elements of heavy duty type with duly machined shaft ends. The shaft ends are fixed with bearings on either side. Different types and design of blades are available and are used for different applications. The Sigma Mixer can be heated by steam / hot water / thermic fluid and or cooled by circulating cooling water. The gap between the shell and blades typically is between 1-2mm.The entire trough is bored on heavy duty boring machines and shaft ends are machined for getting the gap to perfection.
SALIENT FEATURES
As each material is unique in nature, Techno Designs offers pilot trial for understanding drying behavior and predicting data on power and heat input along with mixing characteristic of the material to be kneaded. Optional features like discharge screw at the bottom for discharge of material and hydraulic cylinder for tilting and un loading of the material is also provided. The Sigma Mixer can also be provided for vacuum application. The top cover can also be opened and closed hydraulically.

| | Spin Flash Dryer Techno Designs offers the most versatile Continuous Drying System for cohesive and non-cohesive filter press cakes or filter nutche cakes wherein solid content varies from 20 to 70 percent. Being a direct drying process, the material is suspended in the hot drying air. The system offers the advantages of a very low labour and handling costs.
PRINCIPLE OF SPIN FLASH DRYING
The Spin Flash Drying is more often in the line of an agitated fluidized bed system. The drying agitator works as rotor to break the lumps and the hot air enters at reasonably high velocities to give dynamic action to dryand disintegrate the product.
Fresh air is sucked through hot air generator, which can be direct, indirect in nature. The entry to the drying chamber is tangential to give whirling air suction across the dryer. The hot air generator can be Liquid, Solid or Gaseous Fuel fired. The feed screw pushes the material to the drying chamber. The drying chamber has a rotor driven from the bottom. The rotor has specially designed scrapper blades and disintegrator for breaking the lumpy mass into smaller fragments.
The lumps, which are broken by the rotor, start drying and simultaneously disintegrating in the stream of hot air.
The airborne fine powder particles get carried to the top of the drying chamber and a classifier classifies them to the required size. The particles with larger diameter go back to the chamber, while the fine travel through with the air for final collection through reverse pulse bag filters, wherein almost 100% powder recovery is achieved. |

| | Bead Mills TECHNO Bead Mills are capable of producing finely dispersed finished product from directly charged raw materials. Three operations of premixing, grinding and dispersing are combined within one machine. The machine operates on the principle of shear created within the mass differential of product and grinding media. The grinding medium is moved to the vessel wall by the action of the specially designed disc impeller. This constantly moving mass of grinding media is force-flowed up the side of the vertical vessel wall, the action continuing until the vortex spiral directs the media movement towards the agitator shaft for another continuous cycle of events. The main grinding shell is jacketed for cooling. This is a very speedy operation wherein major products are achieved to the respective gauges in about 1-1/2 hours time. | | Sand Mills CONTINUOUS SAND MILL
Techno Designs offers continuous sand mill for liquid grinding of Pastes, Paints and Emulsions of various solid content and viscosities.
The continuous sand mill works on the principle of sand grinding in which a homogeneous mixture of pigment slurry is pumped through a cylindrical shell which is subjected to intense agitation. During the upward passage, the mill base is caught and ground between the sand particles, a strong shearing action which effect the dispersion of the pigment into the vehicle results. The agitation of sand particles is produced by flat disc impellers, which revolve at high rate of speed within the sand grinder.
