This Scrape Surface Crystallizer can be used as effective crystallizer, replacing many batch kettles. Its high efficiency and productivity results from a simple concept “heat or cool continuously moving product by providing a large heat transfer surface for a small amount of product in a confined space”.
The hot mother liquor enters a jacketed & precision machined shell at one end. Cooling media circulated in the jacket cools the process fluid on its way allowing crystal growth at the heat transfer surface. The central revolving rotating rotor assembly with scraper blades remove deposits from the surface, keeping it clean always which could otherwise inhibit the heat transfer. The crystals thus brought back to mother liquor enhances the crystallization. Finally the crystal solution/ the slurry is obtained from the other end. The flow pattern in once through operation closely approaches plug flow.
We have pilot plant facility of this system to do feasibility study.
