Description:
The setup consists of Double Pipe Heat Exchanger with Hot water tank fitted with pump, Rotameter and Immersion Heater to heat the water. The temperature of the heated water is measured by the Thermocouple and displayed on Digital Temperature Indicator. Exit temperature of hot water and entry and exit temperatures of Cold water are also measured with the help of Thermocouple and indicated on Digital Temperature Indicator. The Unit is also having necessary piping and valve arrangements. The Piping arrangement is such that the unit can be operated both in countercurrent as well as co-current manner.

Description:
Insulating powder apparatus is designed to determine the thermal conductivity of insulating powders. The apparatus consists of two thin walled concentric copper spheres. Inner sphere houses nichrome heating coil. Insulating powder is filled between the spheres. Heat flows radially outwards. Surface temperature of spheres & heat input are measured by panelised instruments.
