Building Premises Fiber Distribution Management System
Found deep in an optical network, FDMS are often the last network management point before the subscriber. Common applications include subscriber access, fiber to the desk (FTTD), Large Area Networks (LAN), traffic control, and building distribution.
Smaller capacity will typically house circuits serving one customer, with larger cabinets sometimes-carrying circuits for several customers. Compact and rugged, Teracom line of wall mounted cabinets is perfect for location in vaults and basements. Diverse and simple to use, variations are available to provide network security (keyed lock on the cabinet, on splice compartment only, or on both for two levels of protection). Designed with control and flexibility in mind.
Features
Benefits
Customized wall mounted cabinet
Can be configured for individual specifications.
Secured Design
Control of networks integrity.
Splice compartment is lockable, with an optional lock available for patching compartment.
Excellent fiber management
Smooth fiber and buffer tube management in a compact wall mounted box.
Expandable capacity
Fully loaded the cabinets holds 48 connections and 48 splices using 4 splice cassettes.
Central Office Fiber Distribution Management System
Usually located within a central office or hub, FDMS act as an the open interface between the outside plant and active electronics. The distribution frame serves as a fiber management system that combines all interconnection functions such as patching, splicing and slack storage. Such a piece of equipment is crucial to effective management of circuits and shared networks. Choosing the right distribution frame can ease both installation and long term system maintenance.
Teracom Fiber Distribution management System is fully customizable to suit diverse needs of network management, and features exceptional connection density within a small footprint.
Features
Benefits
High Density
Up to 288 connections.
Easy to assemble and install
Saves time.
Front and rear cable entry
Provide convenient fiber management routes for patchcords and incoming cable.
Modular Design
Combine patchcord and splice functions within a single frame.
Teracom Singlemode optical fiber (T-SMF) is designed to provide optimum performance in access and metropolitan access applications. Teracom Singlemode fiber meets the expanded ITU 652 Table C requirements and can be used in loose tube, tight buffered and ribbon cable configurations.
T-SMF with its lower attenuation and PMD is optimized for Access and Enterprise networks, where very high rates of transmission are becoming increasingly more prevalent. T-SMF offers excellent reliability and durability, even in harshest environments.
Features
Benefits
Lower PMD
Extends the PMD distance performance, thereby reducing regeneration cost.
Lower 1550 nm attenuation
Extends transmission equipment reach Capability.
Low Hydrogen sensitivity
Excellent reliability.
Superior Fiber Coating
Ease of stripping and increased reliability.
Low Water Peak
Can be used for CWDM applications.
