Tapping cum drilling machines are high precision machines ideally suitable for small and medium sizes intricate parts in the production line. The spindle is made of high-grade alloy steel which is hardened and ground. The thrust bearings absorb drilling force. The headstock movement over column can be adjusted using lead screw and hand wheel provided on machines to accommodate jigs, fixtures and to adjust the work place between spindle nose and base. The minimum and maximum drilling operation could be performed from Ø1.0mm to Ø25mm in steel. The spindle nose taper provided as per international standards to accommodate HSS drilling of respective capacities with firm grip. The fitment of lead screw and nut enable to active cent percent accurate threads. The spindle in mounted in taper roller bearing to take drilling thrust and give spindle trueness closer than specified in IS standards. Minimum deflection is ensured even at high drilling pressure.

Heavy drilling machines and heavy duty tapping machines of Ø25mm, Ø35mm and Ø45mm drilling in steel ensures direct drilling in steel for respective highest rated capacity without pilot hole and gives constant stable performance. The base plate of heavy duty drilling and tapping machines is of rigid casting adequately ribbed to with stand, heavy jobs without any deflection and deformation. The auto power feeds are provided on heavy drilling machines and heavy duty tapping machines which are generally adopted by internationally reputed manufacturers for heavy drilling operations. To start auto feed there is simple and easy electro-magnetic feed clutch arrangement provided on machines. This also enables smooth change over in different rates of auto feeds.

Drilling cum tapping, precision drilling machines are used for drilling from Ø1.0mm to Ø45mm in steel, are available in various models. The use of precision ground and dynamic balanced rotating parts which are assembled in precisely machined and stress relieved castings enable to maintain consistency in repeat accuracy. The machined and stress relieved headstock and work table are freely sliding on seamless ground and hard chrome plated columns. The jigs and fixtures can be firmly clamped in machined ‘T’ slots provided on base plate as well as on rotating swivelling table. The precision drilling machines are easy to install.
