Our Antique WeaponsSince our products have intricate carvings and are made from different metals, it becomes necessary to take good care of them. Proper care, cleaning and storage increases their life and makes them look their best for years altogether. Most of our products are made from carbon steel and hence need proper care to keep them away from rusting. For this purpose oil is applied on the blades. The products also need to be protected from humidity and hence require regular cleaning. The other points that need to be kept in mind to protect the products include:
• Minimize touching by hand
• For long term display, the blade should be kept inside the sheath
• Swords in wood scabbards should be left inside to prevent the scabbard from warping
• Wooden parts like handle and scabbard can be protected by lacquering, varnishing, waxing etc.
