Themis Medicare Limited

It is centbucridine hydrochloride, an original research molecule of Themis Medicare and CDRI. Centbucridine is a local anaesthetic agent. It is a tetrahydro acridine derivative. It has got local anaesthetic action with inherent vasoconstrictive and antihistaminic actions. Anablok 0.5% is equipotent to lignocaine 2%, thus 4 times more potent than lignocaine.

It is ketamin hydrochloride, a general anaesthetic agent which was introduced for the first time in India by Themis Medicare. Ketmin produces dissociative anaesthesia. It is the only anaesthetic agent that can be given intramuscularly and intravenously. As it produces mild respiratory stimulation and bronchodilation it is considered as ideal for asthmatic patients. It is also suitable for hypovolemic patients. Ketmin is available in l0mg / ml and 50mg / ml strengths, both in vials and ampoules.

It is a research formulation of Themis Medicare Limited. Sepgard AR Gel is a unique combination of centbucridine and feracrylum, the two research molecules of Themis Medicare Limited. It is indicated in the treatment of haemorrhoides, anal fissures and proctitis. Centbucridine in Sepgard AR gel exerts anaesthetic action and thus reduces pain, produces vasoconstriction and thereby reduces bleeding and reduces itching by its antihistaminic action. Feracrylum due to its haemostatic action reduces bleeding and due to its antimicrobial action prevents infections.

CA 007 is the first fixed dose combination of a fourth generation broad spectrum cephalosporin cefepime and amikacin the highly accepted aminoglycoside. CA 007 is superior to individually administered cefipime and amikacin in terms of plasma concentration and superior zone of inhibition thus ensuring good clinical response and also has established safety in comparision to individually administered cefipime and amikacin. CA 007 is highly effective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus, E coli and other tough pathogens which are seen in serious life threatening infections. CA 007 is available as CA 007 2.5 gms, CA 007 1.25 gms and CA 007 0.625 gms for varying needs.

Azad is azithromycin, the macrolide group of antibiotic, which is bactericidal with wide coverage of gram +ve and gram –ve microorganisms. It blocks transpeptidation by binding to 5OS subunits of bacterial ribosomes and thus inhibits protein synthesis of bacteria. It is useful in treatment of susceptible infections including M. avium, uncomplicated genital infections, skin and soft tissue infections and respiratory infections. Azad is available as Azad 500 mg and 250 mg tablets and for paediatric use Azad 100mg and Azad 200 mg suspension are ideal.

Merom is meropenem injection the carbapenem group of antibiotic.Merom is a life saving drug and is very reliable antibiotic, Merom has ultra-broad spectrum activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative aerobes and anaerobes. Merom is highly stable to ESBLs (Extended Spectrum Betalactamases) and is effective against all known ESBLs (more than 200 ESBLs are known). Unlike imipenem, it is not inactivated by human renal dehydropeptidase-1 (DHP-1) and hence does not require concomitant administration of DHP-1 inhibitor such as cilastatin. Merom has no convulsive potential unlike imepenem.
Merom is available as Merom 1gm and Merom 0.5 gm vials.

Sepgard Gel, ideal for wound care, contains Feracrylum which is an original research molecule of Themis Medicare. Feracrylum is a unique molecule exhibiting haemostatic, antimicrobial and hygroscopic properties. Feracrylum in Sepgard combines with blood proteins, especially albumin and forms a gel-like substance, which forms a physical barrier on wound surface and stops capillary bleeding and oozing. This haemostatic action does not interfere with body’s natural process of blood coagulation.
Feracrylum exerts its antimicrobial action by breaking the cell wall and ejecting out the cell mass of the microorganisms. It is effective against all common Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria and common pathogenic fungi found in wound.

It is the ideal haemostatic agent for intra and post-operative local application. It effectively reduces blood loss during surgery and offer clear field of surgery. Because of it antimicrobial action, it prevents post-operative infection.

It is the original research formulation of Themis Medicare for painless dressing. Sepgard Tulle is sterile, ready to use, non-adherent dressing for wounds. It consists of cotton gauze evenly impregnated with polyethylene glycol base containing feracrylum 3% w/w. (for more information on Feracrylum, please see Sepgard Gel). Apart from painless dressing, it provides antimicrobial action and haemostatic action. It is the most ideal for donor and recipient site during skin grafting, burns dressing, postoperative dressing and dressing of wounds.

Ximclav contains cefixime along with clavulanate. Ximclav is the first cefixime brand with clavulanate to be introduced in India by Themis Medicare. It covers gram +ve and gram –ve bacteria. Clavulanate in Ximclav inhibits the action of beta lactamases and restores the full activity of cefixime. Ximclav is available as Ximclav 200 mg, Ximclav 100mg and Ximclav 50 mg.

An effective combination of ceftriaxone and Sulbactam. Ceftriaxone is a 3rd generation cephalosporin which interferes with the biosynthesis of peptidoglycan component of the bacterial cell wall. Sulbactam in XL One is a broad spectrum Beta Lactamase inhibitor that lowers the MIC and MBC values of ceftriaxone producing synergistic effect. XL One is clinically very effective in serious infections and is available as XL One 1.5 gms, XL One 0.750 mg and XL One 0.375 mg.

Acejet Injection is the first aceclofenac injection in the world which again is the research formulation of Themis Medicare Ltd.  Acejet injection contains aceclofenac 150 mg in one milliliter. Acejet injection exhibits potent analgesic and anti-inflammatory action.  Acejet injection has chondroprotective action and is effective in all types of acute painful conditions like, osteoarthritis, low back pain post operative pain, migraine and dysmenorrhea.  After the treatment with Acejet Injection in acute phase the patient can be switched over to oral Acejet Tab (Aceclofenac 100mg or Acejet – P Tab (Aceclofenac 100 mg plus Paracetamol 500 mg) Acejet injection is not recommended for more than two days.

Nimujet Injection is the first nimesulide injection in the world which again is the research formulation of Themis Medicare Ltd. Nimujet injection contains nimesulide 75 mg in one milliliter. Nimesulide injection exhibits potent antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory action. After the treatment with Nimujet Injection in acute phase the patient can be switched over to oral Nimujet BCD which contains nimesulide 100 mg. Nimujet Gel is available for musculo-skeletal pain for topical application

RCC is a combination of calcium carbonate, calcium fructoborate, calcitriol, manganese, copper and zinc.  RCC is the first calcium supplement with advantage of natural boron complex as calcium fructoborate, which helps calcium metabolism and stimulates collagen synthesis.  RCC is effective in osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis and to prevent post menopausal osteoporosis.

Ethionmide and Prothionamide used as a second line drugs for the treatment of MDR TB along with other anti-TB drugs.

Tetracox is a four drug fixed dose combination for the treatment of pulmonary and extra pulmonary tuberculosis. All cardinal antituberculosis drugs like Rifampicin, Isoniazid, Pyrazinamide and Ethambutol are used in the initial intensive phase of anti-tubercular chemotherapy and Tetracox contains all of them in the appropriate quantity.Tetracox is well tolerated and safe. It is effective against both intracellular and extracellular tubercle bacilli. Tetracox is administered in the intensive phase and is taken for two or three months depending on the category as is defined by WHO.

Themibutol is the first indigenously produced Ethambutol brand in India by Themis Medicare Ltd, the pioneers in the field of anti-tubercular drugs. Themibutol is a pure Dextro-isomer of Ethambutol and is available in various strengths from Themibutol 200 mg to Themibutol 1000 mg to suit the varying need of the patient.

Themibutol Plus 1000 is the only brand which provides Ethambutol 1000mg along with Isoniazid 300mg for patients above 50 kg body weight.

Themibutol Plus is the combination of Ethambutol 800 mg and Isoniazid 300mg. It is normally used in the maintenance or continuation phase of tuberculosis for six months. It is safe, well tolerated for patients intolerant to rifampicin, has fewer side effects and ensures dosage compliance.

Thre is a three drug combination of Isoniazid, Rifampicin and Ethambuol.  It is an effective combination useful in the maintenance phase of tuberculosis treatment.  It is well tolerated, safe and ensures dosage compliance. Thre is used in continuation phase as well as in initial phase along with pyrazinamide.

Ticimide is pyrazinamide, the bactericidal anti-tuberculosis drug acting on intracellular tubercle bacilli.  It is one of the most potent drugs used in the intensive phase for the treatment of tuberculosis.  Ticimide is available as 500mg and 750mg tablets.

Ticin contains Rifampicin which is an antibiotic that is bactericidal and acts against a wide range of gram +ve and gram –ve pathogens, but is highly effective against mycobacterium.  It is also highly effective in the treatment of Leprosy. Available in wide range as Ticin 150 mg, Ticin 300 mg & Ticin 450 mg.The dose of rifampicin is 10 mg/kg/day and the above strength is to be administered accordingly as per body weight of patients.

Ticinex is the bactericidal combination of two most potent anti-tuberculosis drugs - Rifampicin and Isoniazid.Ticinex is effective against both intracellular and extracellular microorganisms. Ticinex is administered in the continuation phase for four months depending on the category as is defined by WHO. For paediatric use we have Ticinex Kid too which are dispersible and is therefore easy to administer. Each tablet of Ticinex Kid contains Rifampicin 100 mg and Isoniazid 50 mg.

Tricox is a three drug combination of Rifampicin, Isoniazid and Pyrazinamide, which is very useful in new smear-negative, less severe PTB and extra-pulmonary tuberculosis. Tricox is bactericidal in nature and acts on both intracellular and extracellular microorganisms . The combination is given in the initial intensive phase for two months.

Contains cholestyramine that reduces absorption of fats from diet as it binds with bile acids in the intestine and forms an insoluble complex and is excreted out.  It is also known to reduce total cholesterol, LDL Cholesterol and increases HDL levels.  Reduces the risk of atherosclerotic coronary artery disease and myocardial infarction. As it reduces bile acids from serum and tissues, it is ideal to treat conditions like cholestatic pruritus, pruritus associated with partial biliary obstruction, bile salt induced diarrhoea and bile salt induced colonic secretions in inflammatory bowel disease.

Because of this high molecular weight it is not getting absorbed. It is biodegradable and biocompatible. Feracrylum in Hemolok combines with blood  proteins, especially albumin and forms a gel-like substance, which forms a physical barrier on wound surface and stops capillary bleeding and oozing. This haemostatic action does not interfere with body’s natural process of blood coagulation.

Hemolok Solution  is the ideal haemostatic agent for intra and post-operative local application. It effectively reduces blood loss due to capillary bleeding during surgery and offers clear field of surgery. Because of its antimicrobial action, it prevents post-operative infection. It is ideal for irrigation of burn site and after debridement.

Feredet contains sodium feredetate which is a new generation haematinic and is a chelate form of iron.Feredet does not dissociate in the stomach and thus there is minimal gastric disturbances whether it is Diarrohoea, Constipation, Nausea or Vomiting which is very commonly associated with any conventional iron. The relative bioavailability of Feredet is 2.5 to 10 times of ferrous sulphate and carbonyl iron respectively and therefore Feredet produces faster rise in haemoglobin as compared to conventional iron and carbonyl iron. The absorption is unaffected by phytates and oxalates. Feredet is available as Tabs and solution. Feredet tablet provides 231 mg of sodium feredetate equivalent to 33mg of elemental iron, 1.5 mg of folic acid and 15 mcg of vitamin B12. Each 15 ml of Feredet solution contains 231 mg of sodium feredetate equivalent to 33 mg of elemental iron and is available in a delicious cherry flavour.

It contains Cyproheptadine. It is an antihistaminic drug, which is known to have appetite stimulating property.  The appetite stimulating action of Peritol is established and clinically proven.  Due to its appetite stimulating action, Peritol improves appetite, increases food intake and ensures symmetrical weight gain, in all age groups of patients.  Peritol is available as tablets, syrup and paediatric liquid, to meet the need of all age groups.

It contains feracrylum, the original research molecule of Themis Medicare. So mode of action and indications of Sepgard Solution are same as that of Hemolok Solution.

A combination of selective bronchodilator Terbutaline, a mucolytic and mucokinetic agent Bromhexine and a proven expectorant Guaiphenesin along with soothing agent menthol is a tough answer for tough cough.  Terpect provides easy, early and efficient expectoration in various respiratory disorders.  Terpect is available as tablet and syrup.
