many of these products contain a wet, inorganic binder to provide both strength and hardness at elevated temperatures. The range of product forms provides a choice of materials to address a wide range of application problems, such as resistance to hot gas erosion, flame impingement, the ability to be formed into special shapes and configurations, installation into blind hot spots and hard-to insulate areas.
cerachem specialties also possess the advantages inherent with other ceramic fiber insulating materials: high temperature resistance, excellent insulating properties, thermal shock resistance, chemical stability, and ease of installation.
cerachem coating cements ht-054 & ht -045
cerachem ht-054 and ht-045 coating cements provide a range of consistencies for brush, spray, and trowel-on application. These coatings have 1260c (2300f) temperature grade rating. They posses good adhesion, thermal reflectance, dielectric strength, hot gas erosion resistance, and effectively resist wetting by many nonferrous molten metals.
ceracoat - x and other coating cements have a temperature grade rating of 1700c . This product imparts excellent flame and hot gas erosion resistance to other product forms and effectively minimizes thermal shrink age of fiber blankets, modules, and boards. Ceracoat-x and other coatings are in a dry powder form which is mixed with a prescribed amount of potable water at the job site. It provides protection against slag and alkali attack when applied to ceramic fiber high temperature boards and modules.
cerachem mortar - fht is refractory cement is a high-temperature, air setting mortar used as an adhesive to securely bond ceramic fiber bonded modules and ceramic fiber boards and other product forms to refractory surfaces. Have a temperature grade rating of 1625c
cerachem hardner-cfh is inorganic liquid hardener; have a temperature grade rating of 1260c (2300f). They are generally used to increase the durability and surface erosion resistance of ceramic fiber blanket and board products. hardener tends to remain on the material surface of the product form to which it is applied.
cerastick t is a inorganic binder based adhesive used for adhering fiber products to cold refractory brickwork or steelwork. It is best suited to thin products and die - cut pieces of blanket, felt, paper and board. Cerastick-t supplied as liquid mix. Its temperature grade is 1310c. cerachem formables and impelables (mastics)
cerachem - r and cerachem- al-r formables consist of ceramic fibers dispersed in a sticky water-based refractory binder & have temperature grade ratings of 1260c (2300f). These materials have a putty-like consistency which permits application by caulking, troweling, or hand forming. Both products adhere well to most surfaces. Drying is accomplished at a non critical, elevated temperature, and the resulting dried material is strong, hard, and erosion resistant. Cerachem -al-r formable possesses excellent resistance to wetting by many nonferrous molten metals and is used extensively in molten aluminum contact applications. |
