About UsThillai Engineering Works??was started??in 1972??by Mr. A. Thillai Natrajan , a Mechanical Engineer with over thirty years of experience in the forging Industry. Initially the company??started its activities??with friction screw presses and in 1980 erected two Drop hammers of 1 ton and 2 tons respectively to cater to the demanding requirements of the Industry. Since then, the company has taken great strides in assuring??quality by implementing quality standards such as ISO 9001 in the year 2000?. The company is in the process of implementing TS16949 as a continuing measure to maintaining??the quality of its products.?

The Company has set up its own CNC and VMC machine shop where finished forged components are turned out. With this added service the company has made available finished forgings to the??various industrial sectors.

The Company is approved by??the Ministry of Defence, IBR, BHEL, NTPC,NPCIL and PGCIL, etc. The forge shop situated in the SIDCO Industrial Estate, Ambattur , Chennai can produce 750 M.T of finished forgings per annum. Due to sudden increase in the rate of??production in automobile and its ancillary industries the domestic demand for steel forgings has suddenly increased. Thillai Engineering Works is set to expand its capacity to meet a target of 1500? M.T of finished forgings per annum in a couple of months.
