In a world where precision of components is of paramount importance, Thirumala Precicasts Pvt Ltd., an ISO 9001:2000 company offers the most cost effective manufacturing process. Started by three young entrepreneurs in 1995 at Ulegaon, near Solapur, Maharastra, we have earned the reputation of being one of the leading investment castings in manufacturing parts for defense, small arms, medical equipment and surgical implants.
Today, our investment castingsrange from few grams to 10 kgs in all types of ferrous, nickel base and cobalt base alloys. Our investment casting process being highly adaptable and flexible, we are able to manufacture components with high dimensional precision using all alloys in a wide range of shapes and sizes.
Investment Casting offers designers freedom of design in wide range of alloys with close dimension tolerances and fine details. The finish reduces the finishing machining and thus saving costs.
Straightness
Tolerance for axial straightness is : .005 in per inch ( .127 mm per 25 mm) as cast.
Concentricity Concentricity of diameter in shafts is also a functionary part of straightness. Centers are usually concentric within .005 per inch ( .127 mm per 25 mm) of maximum seperation.
Concentricity of ID to OD Centers : These wil be concentric in .003 in per inch (.076 mm per 13 mm) of wall thicknesses. This aids in minimizing out of roundness and assumes desired measurements in the same plane. If the concentricity is being measured in separate planes, the requirement of pharagraph above must be added.

Our Advantage
Investment Casting offers high precision finished products in the least time and cost. The Investment casting process combines the benefits including cost savings, design improvement, unlimited alloy selection, properties improvement, close tolerances, better finishes, savings in machining processing, replication advantages and time savings.
Since Investment Casting is a 'net shape' manufacturing process, machining can be eliminated altogether on some applications and reduced considerably on others.
Our Mission
To be the leader in quality investment casting by delivering total customer satisfaction and addressing all the customer specifications within budgeted costs and deadlines.
Our Process Our process begins with production of wax replicas of the final casting by injecting wax in to a metallic die. Wax patterns are placed in a tray and are ready for assembly. The patterns are fastened by gate on a wax stick to form cluster or assembly. Trees or wax patterns assemblies are given ceramic coats. The entire assembly is dipped into ceramic slurry and then coated with fine ceramic sand and this is repeated to form a self-supporting shell. The shell containing the cavities in place of was patterns. Melted alloy is poured into this shell delivering a high quality finished component. The ceramic shell is then knocked out and the casting goes through minimum finishing to deliver the final product.
It reduces avoidable costs like shavings and metal chips and offers flexibility in design allowing unlimited geometry required when machining a part from bar stock.
Add to this the designing of a truly intricate configuration as a one-piece casting and the there is no limit to the number of ways this process can be used.
Alloy selection offers virtually unlimited range of strength to weight ratios. Add to this the thin-wall and coring options which are available with Investment Castings and hot isostatic pressing (which improves micro structure strength) and you have the strongest, lightest weight metal parts in existence. Weight reduction and durability are among the primary reasons the some aerospace applications prefer the Investment Casting process.
Angles
Cast tolerance of angles depends on their location in casting and range from.1/2 degree for well supported positions to ? 2 degrees where inherent distortion can be expected. Further inclusions of gussets & ribs also helps in minimizing distortion and many sections can also be mechanically straightened.
