ThyssenKrupp Elevator's Destination Selection Control (DSC) provides elevator control on new levels.
With DSC, the destination is selected on the touch-screen before the trip. Then the next car to passenger is indicated. There are no push buttons in the cars. In this way the efficiency of a group of elevators can be significantly enhanced because every passenger's location and destination are known. The control system can respond to passenger request immediately. Special trip can also be initiated by numeric codes or ID systems such as magnetic card readers.
