About UsFor decades, TLT-Babcock has been a leader in providing heavy duty air and material handling equipment for thousands of critical installations over many industries. Our conservatively engineered equipment is based on sound design principles and methods and has proven to be extremely reliable, even in the most abusive environments. Today, the company is recognized and competing worldwide as an industry leader in delivering custom solutions for your air and material handling demands. Long ago, TLT-Babcock recognized the importance of keeping operating costs to a minimum. Today, heavy utility and industrial segments wage a constant battle to reduce overall operating expenditures through energy conservation and optimizing equipment efficiencies. In concert with this goal, we've pioneered in developing critical engineering data and a system of design and fabrication emulated by many in the industry today. It's from this wealth of data and experience that a TLT-Babcock customer begins to realize important, long-term advantages unparalleled by any competitor. |
AchievementsIn 1975, TLT-Babcock, Inc. was formed in the United States as a joint venture between Babcock & Wilcox Co., a subsidiary of McDermott International and Turbo-Lufttechnik GmbH, a subsidiary of Deutsche Babcock AG. The initial goal of this new company was to market axial flow fans to the North American utilities, although shortly thereafter, TLT-Babcock also began to offer a full range of heavy duty centrifugal designs for many industries. In October 1988, Deutsche Babcock AG fully acquired TLT-Babcock in order to strengthen and expand its position in the North American and certain specific international markets. In the following years, TLT-Babcock enhanced its position as a leading supplier of high-quality large and medium-duty fans and expanded its range of products to include equipment for ash/material-handling applications. On February 19, 2003, The New York Blower Company, Willowbrook, IL. acquired TLT-Babcock from Babcock Borsig AG (formerly Deutsche Babcock AG). NYB is the leader of centrifugal and axial fans and blowers for applications in the commercial HVAC market as well as the industrial, environmental, chemical, and manufacturing market. On February 20, 2009, TLT Babcock sold its interest in TLT – CO-VENT to CO-VENT Fans, Inc. of Ontario, Canada. Subsequent to the transaction, CO-VENT is no longer affiliated in any respect with TLT-Babcock.
