We are engage in offering a quality range of Aleuritic Acid (9, 10, 16-trihydroxypalmitic acid) that is used in perfume industry for the preparation of musk aroma. It is a unique acid containing three hydroxyl groups of which two are of adjacent carbon atoms; this is obtained from shellac by saponification. These are moderately soluble in hot water & crystallize out on cooling the solution and are soluble in the lower alcohols such as methyl, ethyl and isopropyl alcohols.

Aleuritic Acid (purity 99%) is a slight yellow and almost odourless solid. These are widely used in perfumery and pharmaceuticals, as these are an excellent starting material for the synthesis of civetone, ambrettolide, isoambrettolide and others which have the musk like odour.
