With experience from industrial fluid handling and pump manufacture since 1970, we know what you as a customer require from an industrial pump. Ever since we started our manufacture of air operated diaphragm pumps, we have always had our winning concept in mind: to create compact diaphragm pumps for reliable duty and with a minimal number of components enabling easy maintenance. We are always keenly aware of new requirements and ideas from our customers. The products are therefore always in continuous progress with improved detail solutions, new materials and further accessories.

The EC ATEX directive 94/9/EC
The ATEX directive (also known as ATEX 100a) is applicable on products used in explosion hazardous zones. This directive also covers non electrical products, like our diaphragm pumps. From July 2003, it is mandatory within the EU to have ATEX certificate on products which are intended for use in EX-zones. There are three main categories (zones) in the ATEX directive:

• CAT 1 (zone 0), flammable material present continuously or for long periods

• CAT 2 (zone 1), flammable material present occasionally in normal operation

• CAT 3 (zone 2), flammable material present in abnormal conditions for short periods

We are proud to introduce our product range, adapted to conform with the directive. Our ATEX certified pumps have the code TX... and the pulsation dampeners PDX...

The following models are now certified for Equipment group IIG (gas):

The ATEX certified pumps have diphragms in PTFE (with conductive back) or EPDM (conductive). An earth connection is mounted on the pump, for earthing of electrostatic loads

The Tapflo manufacture process is certified according to ISO 9001:2000.

CE marked products
All pumps and pulsation dampeners are CE marked and fulfill the demands of the EC machinery directive 89/393/EEC with amendments.

Tapflo was founded in Kungälv (north of Gothenburg), Sweden 1985 and has since then been working with design and manufacture of air operated diaphragm pumps. The product range has grown from a few plastic models, to complete PE & PTFE, metal and sanitary series. Within the Tapflo group today 60 employees are working in design, production and sales.

Our strategy is to maintain and develop Tapflo as a strong trademark, not only in Europe but worldwide. We have consequently developed TAPFLO branches in Europe. Our original company, Temag Pumpar Ab in Sweden is changing it´s name to Tapflo over time.
We are now 10 independent Tapflo companies in Europe and South Africa. The benefits for our distributors and end users are obvious. Pumps, spares, service and maintenance are always nearby and from an original source. All our branches keep pumps and spares on stock and they also have a service capacity.
