INDIAMART AT PTC Asia Business Card, Shanghai

To expand and promote the Indian manufacturing sector and to connect it to the world’s power industry, PTC Asia Business Card 2007 was a perfect forum. Becoming an exhibiting participant at the trade show was taken as a great opportunity to meet with power industry project developers, power and energy marketers, research and development organisations and government-run energy and regulatory departments. Representatives from IndiaMART were keen to serve as an essential link between Indian suppliers and leading global buyers.

PTC Asia Business Card, Shanghai, was organised in 4 halls and there was one main entrance. The IndiaMART stall was located right in the middle of the hall. Though the positioning of our stall was not very strategic this time, our representatives along with hostesses were able to attract around 400-500 visitors each day. The crowd flow was good and visitors were mainly Chinese.

IndiaMART Sourcing Guides got a welcome response from traders and buyers at the show. During the 4-day-long event, a total of 1536 Engineering & Industrial Products sourcing guides were distributed. Representatives could easily explain the sourcing benefits that IndiaMART was supposed to deliver. Those who visited our stall were a mix of manufacturers, exporters, importers and traders. Visitors at the trade show were mainly looking for hydraulics category.

Apart from IndiaMART, there were 4-5 other Indian companies who were participants at PTC Asia Business Card 2007. For IndiaMART, the show was a good experience overall in terms of connecting to serious global buyers and representing the Indian manufacturing sector on the global platform.
