Quality Assurance
At Trafo Power & Electricals, quality is our specialty. The company is committed to give its customers the value for money by offering high quality and superior performance products.We have adopted stringent quality control measures and quality is rigorously checked at different stages of production and supply to ensure adherence to industry standards and parameters.Some of the highlights of our quality assurance are:

  • The CRCA steel sheet are purchased from reliable vendors as per IS 513 and other international standards.

  • The welding of the panels on the tank body is done using MIG machine (Esab make), CO2 gas used in welding, quality of gas is ensured by the test certificate given by the authorized supplier.MIG wire (OD1.2 mm) is purchased from reputed suppliers along with the test certificate.
  • For the purpose of leak-testing, air pressure is regulated through inlet and outlet valves to a level of 0.35 KG/ Sq. Cm.Automatic pressure relief valves are used to maintain the pressure inside the tank.

  • Sand blasting of specification SA 2 1/2 (ISO8501-1 1988) is done.

  • After sand blasting a primer (50 micron) of appropriate make is applied within 4 hrs after sand blasting.

  • In transformer tank, quality paint used is used from manufacturing company. Applicators are being trained by authorized supplier of paint to maintain the quality of painting.

  • NDT (Non Desctructive Test) is done to maintain the quality of tanks.

  • Inner side of tank is being varnished or as required by customer to avoid any rusting.

  • The packing of tank & panels is done by wooden boxes, to avoid any damage during transit and delivery.



Testing
We have advanced facilities for testing of our products to ensure that only superior quality products reaches to our customers. Some of the tests that we undertake in our testing process are:

Dimensional Test: All dimensions are checked as per drawings and specifications.

Pressure Test: The tank is subjected to an air pressure of 0.35 Kg / Sq. Cm and is checked for leaks.


Vacuum Test: The tank is subjected to a vacuum of 250 mm Hg. for about 15 minutes.
