Two Way Drum Pumps |
| Transflo has introduced the new Two Way Drum Transfer Pump, a powerful yet economical air operated drum pump. Its all-new design offers many unique features. The compressed air pump attaches easily to any closed head of a drum. The reversible feature allows you to fill or empty the drum in under two minutes with the simple turn of a knob. The flow rate can be controlled either by a shut-off valve or regulator, or by the knob itself. It has no moving parts such as motors or impellers to clog, freeze up, or wear out. Air consumption is only 19 CFM. Drums should have a nominal wall thickness of 1.5mm (16 gauge) and in good condition to maintain integrity of system performance and safety. Using no electricity, these system last and last, unlike many electrical units that wear out quickly in harsh industrial environments. A built in safety feature prevents overfilling and spills. The quiet and safe operation of this air-powered drum pump means no motor burn out and no shock hazard. It is a maintenance free system to recover spilled liquids, coolant, sludge, tramp oil, waste water and other liquids using only compressed air. Constructed of stainless steel, Transflo Two Way Drum Pump is suitable for use with most non-flammable liquids. The flow rate in and out of the drum can be controlled with the knob, making it ideal for dispensing liquids.. Using compressed air, two way drum pump offers both safe and powerful vacuuming of fluids, as well as instant pump out capability. The drum can be emptied with a turn of a knob, eliminating the need for dumping. A built-in pressure / vacuum relief is integral to the muffling body for safe, quiet operation. There is no shock hazard since electricity is not required. |

In the vane type, the operation of air motors is as follows: On the entrance of air in the air motor, the former forces the sliding vanes out of the eccentric mounted rotor. Then, an extended shaft provided on the rotor, spins to complete the work. The piston type air motors are widely used in various applications where high torque and flexibility in the operation are required.
