IMTP Packing

Offering IMTP rings.

IMTP packings are also known as Intalox metallic tower packings, metal intalox saddles, I-rings, IMTP rings or metal intalox saddles.

IMTP are third generation tower packings having.

-Better specific surface area, mechanical strength and higher voidage.

- Hence provides better separation, offers lower pressure drop and lower capital cost per cu.m., while compared to equivalent size pall rings.

These are available in thicknesses of 0.2mm to 0.5mm depends on the size of the IMTP saddles.

Columns Internals

To achieve the desired performance of the packed column, the use of the properly designed column internals play the most important role.
These are tailor made units, designed to achieve the optimum results.
1. Liquid distributors : uniform initial liquid distributors at the top of the packed bed are essential for the efficient column operations. This is accomplished by the devices called distributors, which spreads the liquid uniformly across the top of the packing. If the distribution is not designed properly the mal-distribution can cause channeling and by passing of the liquid and gas resulting in poor performance of the column.
2. Bed limiters:the primary function of the bed limiter is to retain the packed bad i.e stops escaping of packing & avoids expansion of packed bed.
3. Packing support: while primary purpose of the support plate is to retain packing without excessive restriction to gas and liquid streams. Unless carefully designed, the support plate can cause premature column flooding.
