Abamectin is a liquid fermentation
product of streptomyces avermitilis and is a mixture of Avermectin B1a and B1b.
These two components, B1a and B1b have very similar biological and
toxicological properties and their formula and molecular weight is C48H72O14. =
873.1 and C47H70O14. = 859.1 respectively.
 
Abamectin is an antibiotic agent,
which is used against nematodes, insects, mites and others. Its injection and
tablet are prescribed for the treatment of gastrointestinal nematodes,
hyprodema bovis, hypodema lineatum, sheep nose bot, psoroptes ovis, sarcoptes
scabiei var suis, sarcoptes ovis and others.
