liquids being handled.
Working of the Pump: Unique Rotary
Gear Pump consist of a casing in which two rotary gears revolv around fixed
centers at uniform speed. Gears may be spur or helical type. The fluid
entrapped between gear teeth and casing is pressurized and is transferred
form suction side to delivery side during its rotation. It is positive
displacement pump.

Pump Capacity is directly proportiona1 to speed. Additional power is
required to pump viscous liquid.
(b) If the liquid being pumped is poor lubricant, Pump is operated
at lower speeds ranging from 100 to 1000 RPM, depending upon the properties
of the liquid.
(c) Pumps above 250 psi pressure are offered with hardened and
profile ground spur gears in of single helical gears.
