An Air cell is a sealed envelope made out of high resistant Polyamide fabric coated with synthetic elastomer. The air cell is fitted in the conservator of the transformer by means of two straps and a connecting flange. Due to its inflation and deflation the air cell breathes without permitting the outside air which causes degradation in contact with the expensive transformer oil thereby reducing its efficiency.
