 DESCRIPTION:-

TOTALSEAL 5028 is a black primer which changesinto an opaque  and  hard film when  dry. It offers quickand lasting  adhesion to our  polyurethane fixedwindows adhesives on enamels and  glass  which itprotects from UV rays . TOTALSEAL 5028 is alsorecommended as  adhesion promoter on most of

paints and on GRP.

 

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:-

 TOTALSEAL 34  is a  single component, elastic,

polyurethane-based sealing mastic.Under the effect

of air humidity, the film forms very quickly once theproduct has been applied. After one day, the masticis already hard to a thickness of  3 mm. The productprovides an anti-vibration effect ; it is elastic, can bepolished, and has no corrosive effects .

USE:-

 

Automotive, bodywork, container and caravan

construction (for example sealing of roofs, gutters,

side walls, decorative rings, joints and coverings,

etc.), shipbuilding, steel construction and many

other possibilities.It is not suitable for sealing of

glass  or expansion joints in building constructions.The

Totalseal 34 is overpaintable by a wide variety of

paints ( allow to cure after application at least 2

hours).Paints based on alkyd resin are not suitable.

PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS

Bonding area :

Surfaces to be bonded must be clean, dry and free

of grease and dust. Release agents must be

removed.

Substrates must be compatible with the sealant.

They must not contain bitumen or tar. Adhesion

and compatibility with plastics and paints has to be

tested before use. 

Adhesion promoter :

TOTALSEAL 34 bonds  wi thout   adhe s ion

promoter to most paints.

On aluminium (also anodized) and galvanized steel,

use Cleaner/Activator TOTALSEAL 7016 .

On  stainless steel, after abrasion, use TOTALSEAL

7016 followed by TOTALSEAL 5028. 

Processing temperature :

+5°C to +35°C

Cleaner :

Solvents like MEK for uncured material, as well as

for cleaning and degreasing bonding area.

Do not use alcohols to clean bonded parts. Alcohols

block curing of  PU sealants.

STORAGE

In unopened original packaging: 12 months .

Store in  a cool  and dry place at temperatures

between +5°C and +25°C.

TOTALSEAL 100  is a one part polyurethane sealant,which cures quickly with the humidity of the air, giving anelastomer with high mechanical properties.USETOTALSEAL 100  is specially designed for thereplacement of fixed glass in motor vehicles.It allows a drive-away time of 3 hours * in vehicleswith  2 airbags.

*At 23oC and 50% relative humidity. The drive-away time will belonger at lower temperature and humidity.

COMPOSITION :

Polyurethane prepolymer does not contain  T.D.I.,

amines or aromatic solvents.

APPEARANCE :Black paste, thick and

thixotropic

DENSITY :   1.22.

FLASH POINT :   > 60°C.

SOLIDS CONTENTS :     97 % minimum. 

APPLICATION

GLASS PREPARATION  (new screen)

1. Ensure the surface of the glass is clean and dry. Use

a clean dry cotton cloth, wet it with TOTALSEAL

7016, rub the surface of the glass to be treated,

leaving a very thin film. Then clean the surface with

a dry and clean cloth , and allow to dry for a minimum

of three minutes.

2. Apply TOTALSEAL 5008 or  5028 within 4 hours

maximum  of applying TOTALSEAL 7016

(otherwise start again with application of

TOTALSEAL 7016).

Shake, open bottle and apply primer with a brush on

to the prepared surface. It will be dry after 5 minutes

and must be covered by the sealant within 3 hours.

If the drying time of the TOTALSEAL 5008 or

5028 exceeds 3 hours,  reactivate with TS 7016

according point 1.

BODY PREPARATION

TOTALSEAL 100 can be applied directly to freshly cut

black polyurethane.

BE CAREFUL: TOTALSEAL 5028 must not be

applied on old sealant.

A primer may be necessary on some types of paints or

on areas scratched or damaged during the removal of

the old screen. In this case use TOTALSEAL 5025,

which could be used on old polyurethane and must be

used if the type of sealant used before is not known.

Thoroughly shake the bottle of TOTALSEAL 5025

and apply by brush to the areas needing treatment.

Leave to dry for 5 to 60 minutes before applying

TOTALSEAL 100. 

 STORAGE

Nine   months from date of manufacture when stored in original sealed sausages

at temperatures between +5°C and + 30°C.

Twelve  months  from date of manufacture  when stored  in original sealed cartridges

at temperatures between +5°C and + 30°C.

PACKAGING

TOTALSEAL 100 is available in  cartidges of 310 ml and in sausages of 400ml or 600ml .
