A "choke" is an inductor that is used for filtering power supply element. Their design structure comprised of typically gapped iron core units. From appearance they are very similar to a small transformer; the only difference is that only two leads exiting the housing of chokes. In an inductor the current cannot change instantaneously; that means, inductors try to resist any change in current flow. The property of resisting sudden current change makes indicator good for use as filter elements, doing this they "smooth out" the ripples in the rectified voltage waveform.

We also manufacture High Frequency Chokes & Transformers Core Material - Amorphouse, Winding Material - Copper Foil. They are made up of amorphous magnetic cores to allow smaller, lighter and more energy efficient designs for many high frequency applications like inverters, UPS, ASD(Adjustable speed drives) and Power supplies (SMPS).
