Zinc Dust

Zinc dust serves various applications in different industries like chemical paints, metal extractions, pigments etc. It has no chance of explosion and poses no pollution threat. Zinc Oxide (99.5%)

Zinc oxide in a mixture with about 0.5% iron(III) oxide (Fe2O3) is called calamine and is used in calamine lotion. Zinc white is used as a pigment in paints due to its opaqueness. It is also used in coatings for paper. Chinese white, a special grade of zinc white is used in artists' pigments as it reflects both UVA and UVB rays of ultraviolet light. Zinc oxide can also be used in ointments, creams and lotions to protect against sunburn and other damage to the skin caused by ultraviolet light. It is considered an important ingredient in manufacturing rubber goods.

Zinc Chloride

Zinc Chloride is widely used as a flux for soldering because of its ability to dissolve metal oxides. It is corrosive in nature and hence not a suitable flux for situations where any residue cannot be cleaned totally away, such as electronic work. It is this property that leads to its use in the manufacture of magnesia cements for dental fillings and certain mouthwashes as an active ingredient. It has also been used as a fireproofing agent, for etching metals, and is also a primary ingredient in fabric re-fresheners.

Zinc Sulphate

It is widely used to supply zinc in animal feeds, fertilizers, agricultural sprays, making lithopone, in coagulation baths for rayon, in electrolytes for zinc plating, as a mordant in dyeing, as a preservative for skins and leather and in medicine as an astringent and emetic. Its aqueous solution that is used for removing moss from roofs. Spraying a mixture on moss will allow the wind to simply blow off the remaining debris, however it is not recommended for use on lawns as it is as effective at removing grass as it is moss.

Copper Sulphate

Copper Sulphate can be used to plate metals with copper, as a fungicide or herbicide, or as a chemical test for water in which the white anhydrous form turns blue on contact with water. It is used in Fehling's solution and Benedict's solution to test for reducing sugars, which reduce the soluble blue copper(II) sulfate to insoluble red copper(I) oxide. Its other popular uses include application in processing of leather and textiles. It is also used to test blood for anemia.
