Argon:
 
Argon is used in such places where a very static gas is demanded mainly where diatomic nitrogen is not adequately inert or when low thermal conductivity is essential. It can also be used as an inert gas shield in different forms of welding that includes metal inert gas welding as well as tungsten inert gas welding.
 
Helium:
 
This gas is even lighter than air, and has the advantage over hydrogen. It can be used in balloons, blimps, airships, and for inhalation to make a shrill voice.
These are available in gaseous form, which can also be used as:
 

• An inert gas shield for arc welding
• A protective gas in growing silicon and germanium crystals and producing titanium and zirconium
• A cooling medium for nuclear reactors
  

Nitrogen:
 
Nitrogen is the main component of air and an inert gas. This gas is less costly and most common breathing gas for diving.
