EVEREST XLPE cables are manufactured on state -of- the-art machines using best quality raw materials. XLPE means crosslinked polyethylene or vulcanized polyethylene. The basic material is low density polyethylene. Polyethylene is a thermo-plastic material consisting of long chain hydrocarbon molecules. At elevated temperatures these molecules tend to move relative to one another so that the material becomes increasingly deformable and will eventually melt at a temperature around 110°C.


By means of process similar to the vulcanization of rubber the PE molecules can be cross linked. The process of cross-linking or vulcanization consists of producing chemical bonds at intervals between the long moleculer chain to give a "LADDER" effect, which prevents slippage between molecules. As a result of cross-linking the material becomes heat resistant and does not soften at higher temperatures. Further, it has better resistant to stress cracking and good resistance to ageing in hot air. With the change of structure there is no adverse effect on electrical properties. EVEREST XLPE cables are excellent in Electrical, Thernal, Mechanical & Chemical properties. The various advantages of using our XLPE cable are given below:

1. Dielectric losses are very small.
2. Higher current carrying capacity
3. Higher short circuit rating as XLPE can withstand shot circuit temperature upto 250°C where PVC and Paper insulated cables can withstand upto 160°C only
4. XPLE cables are not prone to fatigue damage due to vibrations or overloading cycles.
5. XLPE cables retain their flexibility down upto -40°C.
6. XLPE cable are light in weight. This makes easy handling during manufacturing & installation
7. Jointing & Termination are very easy. Smaller bending radius is sufficient
8. XLPE cables can be installed along cable routes without elevation limitation
9. XLPE cables has a better resistance to most chemicals such as ordinary acids, bases & oils.
10.In case of XLPE cable, both the ageing properties and the resistance to deformation under mechanical loading at higher temperature enable the material to withstand emergency overload temperature of 130°C.
11 .PVC Cables as well as impregnated paper cables have distinct
disadvantages regarding environmental protection, if they burn, PVC gives off corrosive gases and leaking oil filled cables can cause severe damage to water supplies. It is true that XLPE also burns but the combustion products, carbon-dioxide and water do not cause a damage. Further more, it does not melt like polyethylene.
12.Finally XLPE insulated cables do not require any maintenance. This makes them especially suitable for use in industrial networks and those isolated parts of general transmission network where maintains would be difficult to arrange.
Thus XPLE cables are excellent in performance.

EVEREST LT PVC Power & Control Cable are of excellent quality as these are manufacture on sophisticated extrusion line using best quality raw materials and thoroughly tested at every stage of process till finished product as per IS : 1554 (Part -1 )/19S8. These cables are also easy to handle. Simplified terminators and jointing techniques woke these cable eminently suitable, among other applications, for industrial and mining installation.

The main advantages of our cables are:
1. Insulation resistance and breakdown strength are practically unaffected by moisture. These cables are thus suitable for laying even underwater.
2. Can be laid vertically and on steep slopes as there is no impregnating compound involved.

8. PVC cables have tough but smooth outer covering and are thus abrasion proof.
9. PVC cables are not affected by vibrations.
10. PVC cables have high short circuit capacity since they can withstand a high transient temperature without any deformation of insulation or displacement of conductor.

Fire alarm cables are fixed transmission cables and they are installed on or beneath plaster surfaces in dry and damp premises as well as in the open air. As the cable is supplied with the message " fire warning cable" it is especially suited for installation in modern fire alarm systems.

DESCRIPTION:
EVEREST solid/stranded annealed plain electrolytic grade copper conductor as per IS:8130. core insulated with extruded PVC conforming to IS:5831. Two such cores twisted together to from a pair and wrapped with aluminium backed Mylar tape with drain wire of ATC copper and finally sheathed with special PVC compound.
