We offer water based duct sealant, which is a tough adhesive material that is used for outdoors and indoors as water and solvent vapor barrier at low, high as well as medium velocity air conditioning ducts. It perfectly seals any joints of air conditioning and air movement ducts.
Our range of sealants when used with mechanical fasteners, provides very good rigid elastic bonding and forms resistivity seal against air, vapor and heat leakages. It also absorbs some part of vibrations generating from motors and impellers.
These sealant has got excellent water vapor resistance that allows it to be used at humid and sea-shore conditions. These duct sealant may be pressure tested within 16 hours drying time above 70°F (21 °c) and below 60% relative humidity. It quickly forms a strong band to galvanized steel, aluminum or mild steel ducts and rigid faced fiber glass duct systems. Our range of duct sealant contains no asbestos, lead, mercury, or mercury compounds.
Application for water-base duct sealant are: - Store and apply between 40 V (4°c) 100°F (38° C).
- Protect from freezing.
- Always test foil and paper facing for acceptable adhesion.
- If used between two impermeable surfaces, drying time will be extended.
- To resist rain wash-off, allow at least 12-15 hours drying time above 40 F (4°c), with a relative humidity of 50%.
- Higher humidity or lower temperatures may retard drying.
- Outdoor horizontal surfaces must always drain completely.
- A pitch of at least V* inch per foot (2cm/m) is required.
