According to this principal, the water circulates using the natural convection and gravity from the collector to storage tank. The water is heated in the collector and rises into the storage tank as long as the absorber keeps collecting heat. To replace the hot water discharged into the tank, the cold water runs into the collector at the bottom of the storage tank. The circulation is faster when the radiation arriving on the collector is stronger. However, if there is no solar energy incident on the collector, the circulation automatically stops.

Due to the absence of moving parts, using Thermosyphon systems is preferred for simple, inexpensive and low maintenance. Jacketed tank type heat exchanger system is offered for durability in very clod climates or very hard water area. Under this system, the cold water enters at the bottom of hot water storage tank to circulate the water in the storage tank. This is done by circulating pump and solar collectors are used to recalculate until the solar radiation available. The Solar Water Heater - Industrial Active (DTC) Series works as per the temperature difference of storage tank bottom temperature and collector outlet temperature. We also offer differential temperature controller to use for this system.
