With depletion in fossil fuel, the Sugar Industry is rapidly gaining provinces because its in-built capacity to generate own fuel as Bagasse convertible to extra electrical power. Today, oncorporating latest technologies available, we device Sugar Plants, electrically and thermally balanced in manner so as to render maximum surplus bagasse, thereby generating surplus electrical power for supply to the grid thus better profitability by optimum utilisation of resource. Our technology offered to our overseas Client in Sudan has won us an award of contract for 13 MW co-generation project.

The Uttam group has been pioneer in designing bagasse handling system, be it for a sugar plant with excess bagasse facing disposal problem or a factory with Co-generation where constant output and input of bagasse is a very tricky system to design. Our systems, tailor-made for each client, in India or abroad are designed to ensure trouble free working with practically no down time when in operation.

A high-pressure boiler with a backpressure steam turbine-generator placed between the boiler and the steam distribution network. High pressure industrial boilers can be used for various industries like sugar mills, cement plant, cogeneration plant, etc.

Sailent features of complete milling, tandems mills are:

The Cane Loader has been designed with a very low center of gravity and a unique hydrostatic front wheel drive. These enable the loader to perform even on slopes of upto 450 inclination making it the ideal choice even in steep rough terrain areas.

The Uttam Cane Loader’s tricycle gives it a tremendous advantage – the ability to turn within its own length. This makes it ideal for loading operations even in small spaces. It is also very effective in cleaning up spilled cane, or for cleaning up operations in the field or factory, and even feeding cane onto mill carrier.

Another equipment that has made a place for it in the Sugar market very fast is the new concept of hydraulic operation of cane unloaders. It has special features like

• Two times faster in operation attributing to very high productivity.
• Double lifting capacity
• Unidirectional rotation of motor eliminating risk of motor burning in reverse direction.
• Thruster brake shoe eliminated and thus zero breakdown on this accounts.
• Low maintenance cost.

Designing of evaporators has been one of the most complex system because it has a very great impact on the entire working of the Sugar Plant. We at Uttams, therefore, design this station taking into account the entire heat and mass – balance of the factory so that the evaporators are integrated into the plant with perfect thermodynamic harmony.

Apart from this, equipments like Long tube evaporators (falling film type or rising film type.) were introduced to the Sugar Industry by Uttams, more than 20 years back when this technology was in nascent stage. Our design therefore meets no match as on date.

This station has our very special design features making our pans most unique. The short length tubes (upto 800 mm) make circulation very fast and consequently the boiling time in our pans is much less. Care has also been taken to reduce the graining volume i.e. maximum of 35% because of which it becomes much easier to control the final grain size. Our pans being larger in diameter, the ultimate boiling level is hardly 1.5 mtrs above tube plate because of which the boiling continuous to be very fast till the strike level. The net effect of all these innovation is that steam consumption of our pans is quite less & they run as efficiently even with low vapour pressure.

Vertical crystallizer uses cooling system to produce sugar crystals. With various advantages that come with it, itcan be used for several other industries too.

The horizontal crystallizer is characterized by several series-connected stages in a single shell. Compared to the single-stage, vertical, agitated-tank crystallizer, a horizontal crystallizer of this type has several advantages, mainly savings in investment costs.

Molasses is the byproduct of refining sugar. Brown sugar is sugar that still has some of the molasses in it. And if you run out of it — you can always make some by mixing molasses back into plain, white sugar.
