Vacuum Techniques Refrigerator Gas Charging Unit Model No.GC-134 is a modular unit, compact, light weight in design. It is flexible for mobility with castered wheel. The unit is built with compact, direct drive rotary pump. The weight of the unit is 35kgs.

Operating Principle : The unit basically consists of rotary vacuum pump which is used to create low pressure. At low pressure the water in the pipelines vaporizes and is pumped out by the pump. This eliminates the need of heating of the whole system where some of the components are inaccessible. When the complete water is removed, the refrigerator can be charged with gas without exposing to atmosphere. The main body is fabricated from stainless steel and the jet assembly is manufactured from aluminium/stainless steel. These diffusion pumps can achieve better vacuum with dc704 oil as it can take more thermal shocks from air exposure. They offer higher pumping speeds, low back streaming characteristics, low ultimate pressure and long term reliability.

cooling mechanism : 3" pump can be air-cooled or water-cooled. Larger pumps are all water cooled.

Helium M.S.L.D. Model No: VT-LD-102 (Manual / Automatic) is a highly sensitive mass pectrometer leak detector tuned to mass 4 of helium. It is a 1800magnetic deflection single focusing mass spectrometer immersed in magnetic field resulting in eliminating spurious surface potentials and thereby provides perfect ion optics. Thus high sensitivity with good resolution can be achieved.The heart of leak detector is the spectrometer tube, which generates and isolates an electrical signal proportional to the amount of helium in the tube. The spectrometer tube plays the major role in determining sensitivity, reliability and maintenance ease of a leak detector.

Chevron Baffle

Vacuum Techniques Chevron Baffles are fitted on top of the diffusion pump. The baffles are made of copper and are water-cooled, but the body is made of SS. The chevron baffle is primarily used to prevent back streaming of oil vapour from the DP to the chamber above. It is optically opaque (i.e. it has no direct line of sight through it).

Description

Liquid Nitrogen Trap

LN2 is essentially a double walled container containing LN2 in the central chamber. The inner surface of the trap gets cooled when filled with LN2 and it condenses water vapour and other condensable, thus reducing the pressure by a large extent. With the LN2 trap, a ultimate vacuum of 1x10-6 mbar can be achieved. The LN2 trap is usually fitted above the diffusion pump.
