The 2 ingredients work together to both reduce acid in your stomach and provide a protective coating for your esophagus. The antacid neutralizes stomach acid, while alginic acid reacts with saliva and sodium bicarbonate to produce a foam barrier that sits on top of your stomach's acidic contents. When reflux occurs, this foam barrier is refluxed first, protecting the lining of your esophagus.

It is a linear copolymer with homopolymeric blocks of (1-4)-linked β-D-mannuronate (M) and its C-5 epimer α-L-guluronate (G) residues, respectively, covalently linked together in different sequences or blocks.

Sodium Alginate
The chemical compound sodium alginate is the sodium salt of alginic acid. Its empirical chemical formula is NaC₆H₇O₆. Its form as a gum, when extracted from the cell walls of brown algae, is used by the foods industry to increase viscosity and as an emulsifier. Algahard-X is a very powerful liquid admixture compound extracted from algae. They are long chain carbohydrate biopolymer and its salts ar hydrocolloids (materials that bind or absorb water). Algahard-X is acid stable and heat resistant. Alga proof is manufactured to the Indian standard of IS 2645.

Algahard-X is free from chloride and sulfate. It can be applied to any type of construction work.

Versatile use of Algahard-X admixture

Algahard-X is versatile admixture used in cement construction as a waterproof, weather proof, crack proof and as concrete hardener. 200ml of alga proof is recommended for 50kg of cement. Alga proof can be used for all types of cement. Algahard-X prevents segregation of aggregates in the mix and improves the cement strength.

How Algahard-X
On usages of alga proof water can be reduced dramatically for the type of mix and usage. Around 10%-20% of water is reduced and presence of cohesiveness in alga proof increases the workability of the mix. Water plays important role in concrete structure. When minimum water is used in the mix cement strength increases and decrease in porosity. The fig shows the strength of cement due change in water cement ratio.

Algahard-X as crack proof, water proof and corrosion resistant.
On the application of Algahard-X admixture, the natural accelerator increases the cement bonding by changing the cement into gel form, which decreases porosity.

Thus gel formed cementious liquid gets hardened preventing formation of cracks and increases the durability of concrete.

Presence of Algahard-X in the concrete forms a coating over the surface of steel rods and prevents corrosion.

Algahard-X admixture controls the rate of hydration there by eliminates the surface cracks, on vertical application where proper water curing cannot be done.
