Incepted in the year 1978, we V.G.K Foundries are engaged into the manufacture and export of fault-free casting products specifically as per our client’s requirements. Fulfilling the requirements of automobile as well as engineering industries, we offer casted products, which are developed by employing varied casting processes.

Our complete array of castings is a result of our competent workforce, which directs its effort towards meeting with the client’s specifications. Leveraging on our three decades of experience and skill, we are committed to offer high quality castings to our clients within a stipulated time frame.

Additionally, we continually upgrade our production facility to make sure that only good quality castings are produced thereby leaving no room for client’s dissatisfaction. Moving ahead with continual improvement in our facilities, we aim at increase our productivity by 80% in the coming years.

About Our Mentor

The foundation stone of our company was laid by Late. Mr. A. Viswanathan, who was a man with visionary excellence. His efforts were directed to take the company to heights of success and achieve appreciation for global clientele base. He was awarded with S. Narasimhan award by Indian Institute of Foundrymen in 1991.

Today the company is growing under the able guidance of Mr. V. Ratish Kumar (who is also a member of Indian Institute of Foundrymen & Codissia and having more than ten years of experience in this field) and Mr. V. Kannan B.E.,. Both the managing partners have considerable experience to their credit, leveraging on which we have attained excellence in the domain.


Product Profile

We ensure to offer high quality in our range of castings by adopting proven menthods and processes. We employ best sand casting processes to develop varied castings such as SG iron castings, grey iron castings, automotive casting products, hard metal castings, etc. We use ISI approved raw material like pig iron and scraps to manufacture a wide range of castings specifically as per our client’s requirements. Process, We Use

With the help of our knowledge base, we are manufacturing a wide array of castings to serve our client’s requirements. The process, which we use are:

Sand Casting:-
Sand casting consists of pouring molten metal into a mould patterned after the part to be manufactured, allowing it to cool, removing the metal from the mould. After the metal is poured into the mould, a series of events takes place which greatly influence the size, shape, uniformity and chemical composition of the casting which inturn influences its overall properties. Although many manufacturing methods have been developed over the years, casting processes are most often selected over the other manufacturing methods. Almost all materials can be cast in, or nearly in, the final shape desired, often with only minor finishing operations required.

We use this particular process to develop large parts (typically Iron, but at times can also be used to make Bronze, Brass, Aluminum).

Infrastructure

The company’s inner core rests on the strong foundation of our resources such as profound infrastructure. Relying on our well-established manufacturing unit, we have the capacity to produce 90 tonnes per month, which has enabled us in achieving the annual turnover of 1.5 crores. We have foundry and pattern shop, which efficiently develops the castings within a stipulated time frame. We have installed advanced machines in our production unit, which are utilized to manufacture our range of castings. Some of the various machines, which we have installed, are:

  • Pneumatic rammer

  • Pneumatic grinder


Quality Assurance

Quality is the main aim of our organization, which is never taken a chance for. We have a team of able quality controllers, which keeps a strict eye on the manufacturing at regular intervals. The team is engaged in carrying out various chemical tests for basic raw material and for each die casting that is manufactured. Additionally, some of the quality tests, which we undertake, are:
  • Carbon Silicon Analysis
  • Wet test lab
  • Brinell hardness test to determine the hardness of the castings.

We nurture a team of proficient and skilled personnel, which is versatile and has thorough knowledge in the process involved. Our team has complete expertise in developing the prototype castings to customized castings thereby winning our client’s appreciation for the products developed. Also, our team has high efficiency in developing complex casting patterns to meet the unique requirements of our clients within a stipulated time frame.

Packaging & Transportation

We lay utmost attention towards packaging of the castings. The castings are individually packed and are ensured to be delivered safely at the final destination. We also take care of the transportation of the products at far across places. For this we are associated with leading C&F agents, which promises us the for safe and quick deliveries of the products at the final destination.
