The prime objective of this proprietary organization has been to meet the demand of watches of class of customer having limited buying capacity. With this objective in view, Vijay Watch Industry started producing and marketing pocket friendly watches under the brand name of "LEXUS – VIJAY". The cost consciousness and quality has been guiding principle of this organization.
The market response of "LEXUS - VIJAY" watches has been encouraging all through and this inspired Sri G.K. Vijay, the Proprietor of the company, to initiate action in formation of Public Limited Company which formally came into being as VIJAY WATCHES LTD. on 18th august 1992 with its Corporate Office at 3, Mangoe Lane, 1st. floor, Calcutta and Factory at Kolkata. The development of this company is for catching up the market trend and to meet the growing needs of watches in the Country.

In order to equip ourselves with the Advanced Technology in watch making, we have secured Technological advice from Japan. One of the directors, Sri V.K. VIJAY had intensive training in JAPAN and abreast himself of the Latest Technological advancement in the country.
Our factory at Kolkata is equipped with modern and sophisticated instruments and trained men. We have also made a new Assembling Unit named M/s. LEXUS SOFT TECH INDUSTRY, at Parwanoo, HIMACHAL PRADESH. Now we have Started production in our 2nd Factory at Parwanoo H.P. In each stage of production process, strict quality control measures are adopted to ensure quality product. Now we have production capacity of 125,000 watches per month. The Capacity can be increased if required to produce more watches.
Our Quality Standard
Our engineers are well experienced for providing training to the new employees, guide for assembly of watches to the skilled operators as well as keeping a close control as per International Standard of parameters for quality control checking and assurance. We are an ISO 9001-2000 Certified Company by DNV AS. and Registered with NABCB. We procure raw materials from reliable sources. We maintain Inward and Outward inspection system for incoming raw materials and Outgoing finished Products. Regular inspection and tests are carried out to ensure the quality of products for its durability.
Infrastructure
The watch movements used in our watches are one of the slimmest, are manufactured by Seiko Instruments Inc., Japan, and Seiko Epson Corp., Japan and Exported to us by Time Module Incorporation, of Japan. We also import watch movements from Citizen Watch Co. Ltd., and Miyota Co. Ltd., Japan. We procure all other Components like Watch Cases, Dials, Hands, Crowns, Leather Bands and Metal Bracelets from the Top quality manufacturers from INDIA, HONG KONG, TAIWAN and CHINA. Some of them are supplying components to International Brands.
Our Marketing Network
Our watches are manufactured under the brand name of LEXUS - VIJAY and MILANO with a wide collection of Distinctive and elegant Models. Presently we are catering to the domestic Market. However in future we Plan to feed to the foreign Markets also. At present we are having around 350 dealers, who are equipped with service center. Our market is spread all Eastern India, particularly West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, & Assam. Beside this we also market our products in Bangalore, Delhi, Chennai, and Mumbai. Soon we will start our distribution in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal.
We are under negotiation with 2 International Net Marketing Corporate Houses for making watches for them as per their design & demand. We are also O.E.M supplier to an Indian Company named “Right Concept Marketing (RCM)” who markets their product with MLM.
