Testing Facilities JS Overseas has set-up a fully integrated Edible Oil Refining Facility with Solvent Extraction capability in the coastal district of Thiruvarur in the State of Tamil Nadu. The facility has a capacity to produce 500 Metric Tons of Refined Edible Oil Per Day. Oil Refining is a process of separating crude oil into its different constituents, and then purifying each into marketable products. The production of edible vegetable oils involves 2 preliminary stages. The 1st process is called the preparatory phase in which the oil bearing material is readied for the oil extraction stage. This can be done by either -: Cracking/Breaking/Flaking Through Expander Extruder/Expeller Pellatizing The 2nd stage uses the residue from the Preparatory Stage as a source to extract most of the remaining oil content. . Thereafter, in the 3rd stage, further processing makes the oil fit for human consumption . The techniques used are similar for most vegetable oils.
