It was in 1974 that the nation - wide network of field force was put in place and there was no looking back for Vilco thereafter. Vilco was the pioneer in the introduction of Corticosteroid Inhalers for Bronchial Asthma Management. In fact, all the countrywide senior medical practitioners, well remember Vilco for its '17-21' branded inhaler containing beclomethasone which spelt a sigh of relief, possibly for the first time in Indian asthmatic population. Not to rest on its past laurels, Vilco embarked upon expansion of its product portfolio and today boasts of wide array of formulations in varied therapeutic segments which include Anti-Iinfectives, Analgesics & Anti-Inflammatories (including topicals), Otologicals, Scabicides, Decongestants, Antiamebics, Bronchorelaxants, Cough / Cold Products, and so on and so-forth. Some of the well-known brands of Vilco include Orecure & Waxil amongst Otologicals, Vilco Nasal Drops for Nasal Topical use, Betasma & Kanaka range in respiratory segment, Vilrox-150, an Anti-Infective, Besides Gamaderm & Gamaderm -P products for Scabies and Pediculosis. Vilco has truly bridged the gap between the Ancient Ayurveda Remedies and the Modern-Day Nutraceuticals. It is well known for its Sensa range of brands for various sexual and fertility needs. At the same time, Vilco has newly launched well-accepted and promising nutraceutical remedies for diabetic neuropathy and liver diseases. Truly Vilco has arrived. The current field strength of Vilco is 150 enthusiastic quality workers. The present turnover of the marketing Company is 100 million INR Annually with the group turnover being nearly double. The endeavor of Vilco is to launch at least 4-6 new products each year to consolidate its growth.
