Rubber Expansion Joint Rubber Expansion Joint/compensators have a special advantage in
interrupting or muffling noise transmission in pipe line at pumps or
machine in addition to their function as elastic pipe connections. they
compensate for movements in pipe line, at pumps, Engines, Turbines,
Machines, Equipment and Tanks and can be used to compensate for
mounting inaccuracy as extension pieces on fittings or as sealing
elements where pipe systems pass through walls.
Materials Made of natural / synthetic rubber like EPDM, Chloroprene, NBR, Butyl
and Chlorobutyl on a strong carcass made of synthetic/cotton fabric
with reinforcement of steel wire, steel ring etc.
Constructions Construction is of high strength fabric and elastomer reinforced with
metal rings or wire. The flanges are integral with the body of the
joint and drilled to conform to the bolt holes of the companion metal
flanges of the pipe lines. This type of rubber faced flange is of
sufficient thickness to form a tight seal against the metal flanges.
Types Single Arch, Multi Arch, Reducer type, offset type, sleeve type etc.
Sizes From 25mm NB up to 2500 mm NB.
Pressure 26 inches Hg of vacuum up to 40 Kg /cm2g.
Temperature Maximum working temperature varies as per the different grades of rubber used.
Fabric Expansion Joints Non - Metallic (Fabric) Expansion joint are flexible connectors designed to provide stress relief in ducting systems by absorbing movement caused thermal change particularly for low pressure applications. They also act as vibration isolators, shock absorbers and in some instances to make up for minor misalignment of adjoining ducting or equipment.
Features
- Large movements
- Low load on anchors
- Corrosion resistance
- Sound and vibration elimination
- High temperature
- Lower material cost
- Lower system design cost
- Lower replacement cost
Pressure /- 2000 mm WC.
Sizes150 mm NB up to 3500 mm NB. For rectangular sizes there is no size limitation.
Temperature Special design can be made up to a maximum temperature of 1100ºC.
Materials Elastomer coated fabric of the top layer and inner layer of insulating fabric with other layering as per the system requirement.
Constructions Single / Composite layering with various end connections and internal arrangements.
