The VMT all geared Horizontal Boring and Milling machine has as a stationary head stock, Column and table which has longitudinal and traverse travel in reference to the boring spindle.

The horizontal boring machine may be used for drilling surfaces with the radial facing means of the radial facing slide. A machine with radial facing slide mounted on a face plate and the extensible spindle has marked versatility. It is chiefly applied for work. The facing slide is also used for boring large holes with bracket type tool holders.
