• Vital Instrumentation (P) Ltd., was incorporated in 1991, primarily as a manufacturing unit to indigenously produce Infusion Pumps for use in Anti-Cancer therapy, Intensive care, Anesthesia, Post operative Care, etc.
• Vital Bio-Systems (P) Ltd. was promoted in 1995 in order to assemble and market Blood Gas and Electrolyte Analyzers from Semi Knocked Down Kits. These kits were assembled in technical collaboration with M/s. Ciba-Corning Diagnostics (Chiron), U.K. Currently distribution of Medical Electronic Equipments is done through Vital Bio-Systems.

The Corporate Head Quarters and manufacturing unit is situated at Chennai in the home of pioneering Medical Institutions like Apollo Hospital, Madras Medical Mission, Sri Ramachandra Medical College and other Medical College Hospitals. Located in a metropolitan city, Vital has advantages of having direct access with most international cities, various regions of the vast Indian sub-continent, better co-ordination and logistics.

Vital has expansive network through direct / liaison / distributors, currently in Chennai, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Cochin, Calicut, Trivandrum, New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Guwahati, Baroda, Goa and Hubli which helps in giving immediate attention to the equipment requirements of the Medical Institutions throughout India.

Vital also looks out for International Partners to collaborate in manufacturing / supplying parts for their OEM business.

In the process, Vital has recently collaborated with M/s. Suntech Medicals, North Carolina, USA, to provide after sales support for all the products in India. Vital, is now the exclusive authorized service centre for Suntech product support in India.
