We measure the elongation of the test specimen on a linear scale fixed on the frame of the tester which indicates the distance between the grips.

A test specimen is held by two lea holders vertically arranged one below the other and continuously tensile stressed until it breaks and that is how the strength of the lea skein is determined. This instrument helps to determine the braking strength of lea skein (having 1.5 yards or 1 meter girth) either in pounds or kilograms. This instrument is operating under "Constant rate of traverse" principle.

For count test using electronic balance. The strength is determined with the help of "VITAL" Lea Strength Tester . The electronic balance and Lea Strength Tester is connected with computer [VITAL CSP SYSTEM] with the help of VITAL CSP System software we can easily derive the Yarn CSP and also with Minimum, Maximum, Average,  SD and CV%

This machine is used to record strength and elongation of fibers at break point facility. The equipment that we provide to our clients works on dead load principle. It is fitted with 3 phase AC motor and has a reduction gear box and it runs at a constant traverse speed of 300 mm/minute. This machine is also provided with a set of grips for holding fabrics. The machine can work in forward as well as reverse direction as per the requirement and also has provision for overload safety.
