The coil turns tester has been designed to check the number of turns on a winding immediately after it has been wound. This check removes uncertainty by manufacturers finding faults after components have been completed. The operation is rapid and simple. It is used for quality control purposes n production of many types of winding and is used as a final check prior to assembling the coil or at a suitable stage of inspection. The coil under test is placed over the inductor bar which is in the form of a vertical rod and the ends of the coil are connected to a pair of terminals or clips. The number of turns on the coil is indicated on the illuminated digital readers immediately after the connection is made.
