About Us

Waves Art Gallery was conceived by Anjali Moghe in 2000 due to her intuitive yearning to support young artists, by providing a free platform to display their works. Since then, the gallery maintains a rental-free attitude in hosting quality art shows.
Curator Raju Sutar carried this vision forward in 2004 when he adopted the gallery as a second home and began to take care of it.
Over the last four years, Waves has come to represent quality art and has caught the attention of collectors, artists and patrons. In being associated with respected names such as Shergil, Subramanyam, Husain and Souza among others, the gallery has also become a sustainable platform for young artists.
The gallery supports Mainstream art and at the same time it plays a pivotal role in bringing about an attitude shift in terms of art appreciation in the city.
