Wesman’s production facility is located on a 10,000 square meter site at Dum Dum near Kolkata’s international airport and manufactures the full range of industrial furnaces, foundry machinery, oil/gas burners, control valves, industrial fans and blowers. A facility for manufacturing ceramic spheres, an essential consumable for cokeless cupola operation, is located at Dankuni across the Hooghly river from Kolkata.

Porwal Auto Components Ltd, Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh have ordered two natural gas fired 3 TPH Wesman-Taft Cokeless Cupola in November 2006. Porwal is a leading supplier of CI and SG iron automotive castings. Their present capacity of 6600 MT/ annum is being expanded to 8900 MT/annum by December 2006. This will further undergo a substantial expansion to 26000 MT/ annum by December 2007.
Porwal will be duplexing the metal from the Cokeless Cupola with the existing Induction furnaces that will result in substantial melting cost savings besides solving the pollution related problems associated with conventional coke cupolas. The Wesman-Taft cupolas will be designed for 48-hour melting campaigns before dropping the bottom for carrying our refractory lining repairs/patchwork. The new cokeless cupolas will be commissioned in February 2007.
Vishal Malleables Limited, Ankleshwar, Gujarat have ordered two 5 TPH Wesman-Taft natural gas fired Cokeless Cupolas in December 2006. They will be commissioned in March 2007. VML is a modern mechanized iron foundry manufacturing malleable, SG and graded CI castings in their 8000 MT/annum foundry in Ankleshwar. Their product list includes SG iron flanges, insulator metal parts, automobile castings and railway inserts for track construction to leading companies in India and overseas.
VML will be using the Wesman-Taft cupola for 48-hour campaigns and will be duplexing the metal from the cupola in the existing Induction furnace, thereby improving the melting cost efficiency with cost savings.
